Looking forward to Friday onwards as it has been so so wet here, the ground is mush.

Fingers crossed for a change late Jan and into Feb, we live in hope

Did enjoy a sunny day on Sunday, the sun is very slowly strengthening

There may be members that would appreciate pictorial evidence but decency (for once) prevails.

Try longjohns. (The mention of which might encourage @Blitzen out of the shadows.)

Oh dear God, perish the thought!   None of us are getting any younger and, unfortunately,  gravity takes over.   I can't tell you the mental picture that creates....

  (especially in long johns!)

I am sure that  there are much more sensible garments for the older gentlemen -  Perhaps with a little fur trim?

As I posted in the model thread last night that is my general expectation the high gradually moving west allowing cooler / colder shots from the NW / N, then if we get the full potential benefits from phase 7 MJO which is where my real interest lies - 3 words - Higher Pressure Greenland. A long way to go but these types of runs should continue as we move forward IMO.

I enjoy reading your posts in the model thread, very informative, keep up the good work. Hopefully this forum will be busy soon with snow pictures galore from everyone.

Definitely agree with the later.

Might be worth having a quick squint at the Met Office 10 day trend. At this point, they dont share the MAD threads analysis.

Well possible changes if the high behaves and heads West. Maybe not sustained but pretty cold.

Anywhere exposed to the North or North West should be pasted with the seas being relatively warm. Elsewhere will need a bit of luck perhaps.

I watched that as well, they are not saying too much as they have little to no confidence this far out.

At the moment everything is just another week away, then another week and so on...before we know it the winter months will be gone.

One decent fall of snow and I'll be happy...the snaw shovel is still in the hut unused so far this winter extended autumn.

See how things look after the weekend, if the Met Office take an interest, it could be game on.
