@Ravelin what pup do you have??

If you'd been hanging around you would know... she's a Fox Red Labrador, just à few days shorts of 6mths old. Picked her up the weekend before lockdown started, from Ayrshire. She's certainly made lockdown easier, given the whole family a focus.

Daughter took some great pics of her on the beach earlier, I'll grab her laptop later and post one.

@Ravelin you can always rely on a labrador.. we had one that sadly passed 2 years ago. We did look into a different breed last year but our Autistic son couldn't adjust to a smaller dog. We are giving consideration to rehoming an older slower labrador soon as we can.

Meanwhile and on topic.. the current bun came out this afternoon and now the sky is blue and tomorrow is looking good for some warm dry weather.

We were on the boundary between the dull damp weather to the South and the brighter skies to the North. As such dry  with mostly light cloud that broke up later this afternoon. Max of 20.5C so quite pleasant.

Fantastic day with lots of sunshine after the overnight rain and cloud cleared. A high of around 21 or 22C. Weekend also looking very decent although not as warm. It is great to have a spell of westerlies.

How right your are! Not all will agree though. Leuchars now at 77 hours of sun for the month of July which is hardly spectacular but in contrast Loch Glascarnoch just 30 hours, Eskdalemuir 35 and Aviemore 40. Very poor for July!

a odd light shower this afternoon but very reasonable day. The breeze did die down eventually. Looks like more of the same tomorrow. Perfect temperatures too

Sunny intervals with a top temp of 19.5Cso felt not too bad despite the breeze. Nice sunset though my tablet doesn't really do it justice.

Not a bad day in Inverness with some sunny spells and a max of 19c going by the car thermometer.

Dry until early evening when some showers made an appearance.

Those, combined with a setting sun, made for rainbow heaven on the way back on the A96.

Kept chasing the pot of gold across Moray but never got it....

First opportunity to view the comet around 1am this morning in these parts. Clear skies, binoculars, guide to location using 'the plough/big dipper' and there it was. Am absolutely delighted. Something special about comets.....

A real mixed bag today.. beautiful warm sunny morning quickly turned into heavy showers. Had a nice meal out with the boss lady at the golf club and now time to settle down with a nice glass of

Our big wild cherry had virtually no fruit last year as it was hit by heavy winds which stripped it when they were small and green. The year before it was laden. This year it looks like something between.

No good for eating as the fruits are small and mostly stone. However some big jars, lots of small cherries, some sugar, cheap brandy and a bit of patience and by around Xmas you have some more than acceptable cherry brandy.

Dornoch has continued to be breezy with broken cloud and not exactly warm, but there's been no rain. The dog got into the sea far enough to be classed as her first swim yesterday, followed by a mad run around the beach with a 5mth old cocker-poo. She's certainly enjoying her holiday.

Anyone else think this has been one of the coolest and most cloudy July's in quite a few years? It'll be interesting to see the stats...

Like yesterday a wasted day of showers and all too brief drier intervals with glimpses of sunshine.

Showers this evening merging into a longer period of heavy rain.

Light winds and a max of 15.9c.

All very forgettable, even the cloudscapes were dull and boring!

never ending dross. 1 day above 20c so far for Glasgow in July, averaging 3hrs of sunshine a day. The average max is 17.2c according to Meteociel, which means we are on course for the coolest average max for the duration of their records (back to 2006)

No prospect of any change.

Those first 8 weeks of lockdown seem like a distant memory - sunshine, quiet roads, long walks

It's not a bad day all in all TBH but it's not going to last (rather typically) back to the rubbish tonight

A mixed day here in Aberdeenshire... sunshine and cloud.. no rain or showers as yet but the next few days are not looking to good wet and cool by the looks of it..

Just had a wisdom tooth removed by the lovely dentist in Fraserburgh this morning and the numbness is just starting to wear off...

Very useable day until 3pm, then the showers arrived once again, heavy and prolonged for a time.

More sunshine today though and temperatures responding, hit the heady heights of 17.1c.

Generally light winds.

The dry spell in the spring has done the blackberries no favours by the looks of things as the crop is looking poor (not many flowers and even fewer setting fruit).

Conversely Clematis have done well with the warm sunny spring coupled with the copious rainfall in the last few weeks.

Tropaeolum speciosum also doing well, finicky thing that it is to grow.

Well, July 2020 can just do one now!

Bloody awful out there, rain and 12c does NOT float my boat for Summer weather!!!

Did I hear right that Braemar was down to -2.2c yesterday morning?  Is that normal?

Guess what? weather still crap ;) can't genuinely figure this out why we've not had a summer. Honestly thought with way we had some sort of heatwave say 2018 and 2019 the summer months have just refused to deliver the goods this year (and models spoiler hint it don't look like getting much better)
