Comparatively poor day here (though the bar has been set very high  ) Mostly cloudy and certainly cool, wind proof jacket needed on the coastal path with a keen wind off the sea and temperature around 9c.

Cloudy and cool from the start today then the rain started around 2pm. Moderate and constant for a while in the afternoon but has eased back to grey and drizzly this evening.

Looking decent mid week, then possibly back to rain and a cool weekend.

Generally overcast in the morning with a few fleeting glimpses of sunshine.

Afternoon downhill with generally light rain off and on since 2pm.

Another cool day with a max of 12c though with the winds light not feeling too bad outside in the drier intervals.

Quite a few motorbikes racing up and down the Alford road this afternoon, lock-down continuing to fray.

Here's an entertaining and educational way to spend a few minutes - link.

Laptop dying and keeps cutting out - everytime it does it I lose all my forums and logins. Nowhere open to fix it.

We had very heavy hail yesterday and looks like another dull overcast horrible day today

Sky has a wintry look to it this morning and currently 5c. Photo shows a distant Ben More in the middle with a fresh cap of snow this morning.001.thumb.JPG.bb7f8de6c27c1c32bae6b7a7b8ffdefb.JPG

Summer warmth still on hold

That blob first developed over my house from about 11am. Led to a couple of hours of variously heavy/slight rain before moving ESE.

Went three miles north for the daily dog walk/exercise as sheep have appeared on our regular route - and caught this shot which has to be some of the freshest spring grass amongst the ash:

Skies cleared nicely this morning to leave long spells of unbroken sunshine this afternoon. Once again with the wind off the sea it’s cool though with the temperature stuck around 9c or 10c.

Weather has been pretty much just lovely. We can see the hills taunting us from across the forth valley when we go off on our daily stomp. Mr Snowidea is in bits, tearfully looking at his "hills to do" list which isn't getting any shorter.

We even splashed out on a new tent (a Robens with a hole for a flue so we can have an in-tent wood burner ) which is now sitting in a cupboard taunting us. Campervan is also sulking in the sun.

Look on the bright side, you are all set up once the lockdown ends, unlike the masses who usually dissappear off to a beach in Spain or Greece.

Decent day here again. Very damp grass first thing so don't know if it rained overnight or not. Warm sun but a cool wind so the usual variables of temp depending on exposure to wind and sun. I worked in the garden all afternoon quite happily with just a sweatshirt on over a T-shirt. That's another section of new fencing put up, so puppy and next doors ponies are kept apart (old fence was badly needing replaced).

Now we'll see if the badgers dig under it or not cos it's probably blocked off thier main route from the fields behind the house into our garden. Never seen them but scratch marks in the lawn (I hesitate to call it that given the proportions of moss and weeds in it) suggest they pay visits, and something sets off the security light on the back of the garage.

True and Scotland is such a beautiful country, perfect for a tent with a stove.

Another glorious morning here, sun shining and birds singing.

Have a good day everyone.

Pleased to say there’s no sign of the dreaded haar. Good work @CatchMyDrift

Same story again here, plenty of sun but temperature again suppressed to 9c or 10c with an onshore wind. Feels like that’s been the default for weeks. Not complaining as the sun is always welcome but would be good to see a few weeks of westerlies

We may see a little warmth on Thursday and Friday as winds back to the west for a day or two.  Then as  @Kirkcaldy Weather says it may become chilly for everyone for a couple of days.

Very hazy for most of the day in Edinburgh with plenty of high cloud partially weakening the sun. Skies cleared up around 4. Quite chilly in the wind. Tomorrow probably a bit sunnier and warmer? We’re now on “high” UV levels according to the metoffice.

Another cracking day in paradise. Here's one for @Northernlights 900422145_caithnesscows.thumb.jpg.0e4ca392b3424758735109aaaf540b8e.jpg

Morven and Scaraben in the distance which would make a long fine day's walk on a day like tomorrow. <sighs> (I feel your pain, @snowidea)

More strong sun tomorrow then warmth and cloud Thursday and yikes for the weekend.

Cattle everywhere really liking the sunny afternoons.Remember seeing Morven from the most south western part of Orkney looking the same distance from there as it does from here.

Mucking out folds today  with tractors kicking up lots of dust as they carted it to the field.

Sunny (after frosty start of -2c), light winds, max of 15c.  What's not to like (weather wise at least).

Fortieth air frost at -1.1C. Same number of snow days two years ago....

Absolutely crystal clear now and set up to be a stunner - high teens maybe fourth day of 20C+.
