Not much I can add to what's already been said except, not only did we record 26mm of rain, my lockdown weight gain was worse than i expected. Line drawn and I'm hoping to shed a lot of it by the time we get our first snow...although if the temperature today is the start of a downward trend, that might not be as far off as I'd like!

Not to bad a day today some bright spells and very calm. Shame its all down hill again tomorrow.

If I had to sum up the weather it would go something like.

Enjoy your 2 weeks in the sun and the rest is December. Gerry Cinnamon.

Dry, cool (13c max) and grey with light winds.

A bit soul destroying when its still officially summertime.

Even more soul destroying when I’ve given in and put the heating on. At least it’s been dry for the biggest part of the day, just a short shower that didn’t register on my rain gauge but enough to be seen on the slate of the patio around 11pm.

If this  jetstream   keeps up then we could be looking at a cooler winter at the end of a solar  minimum.  Neeps are in the same field as they were in autumn  2010  Will we see a repeat of history?  Cool this morning at 12c and mostly dry/dull all day. Fine day for brushing up as we loaded more lorries.

If we get a repeat of 2010, it will be thanks to your neep field. You'll need to build a shrine in it and we can all come up and take selfies and buy souvenirs.  You could charge money for wee bags of stones to take home.

Just had the craziest deluge of rain here in Glasgow, varying degrees of torrential for about 90 minutes. Never seen anything like it here. It’s just stopped completely, out of nowhere. Incredible.

Wet. 12.5C

So much for getting the grass cut today! Returned last night from a few days away and was amazed at the new growth.

Some heavy bursts here but nothing like what the city centre has been getting. Pretty bad downpour there just now with reports of flooding on the M74 and M8.

This is brutal! Steady easterly murk, occasional lashing rain and the friggin' house lights on before 5pm in August!

Variable amounts of cloud here today, no rain yet but plenty of wind. Managed to get out and brush my grass (my new brush came today).

Took this a wee while ago - cameo appearance from Finn with his cone of shame...

Rain on and off here - nothing as heavy as Glasgow earlier and now Edinburgh.

Have talked Mrs Snaw into a few days away at the Scandinavian Village in Aviemore. Has anybody been and if so is it any good?

I will also be laying the seeds for a possible move to the area over the next 12 months. I have a cunning plan

Only good thing to say about today is that it's been dry pretty much the whole day. There was a wee bit of drizzle first thing but soon stopped.  However, son's rugby boots are still trying to dry out after Tuesday's drenching, despite having been outside all day - he said it was like sloshing around in a puddle.

Aberdeenshire Permagloom™ yet again with a max of 13c, light winds and occasional spots of rain in the wind.

At this rate will need to start taking Vitamin D tablets to make up for the lack of sunshine.

Variable cloud amounts. Some sunny spells, a bit windy and can definitely feel a nip in the air.

Probably won't last.
