Turned out to be not too bad a day with a high of 20c which let me get some alterations done that were long overdue on my part. Mist descended just after teatime and last time I looked out the drizzle had started though not enough to register on my rain gauge.

After a couple of fine days, back to Aberdeenshire Permagloom™.

Sun tried to break through at times but never managed.

Not cold though, max of 16c in light winds.  Heavy drizzle outside at the moment.

Another sign of autumn coming, Robins are back - two of them in fact and the feeders must be a prime location as they were fighting each other off and on all day!!

Went up to St Cyrus today, there was some of that Aberdeenshire permagloom right enough! The sun shone weakly for about 10 minutes. Then it was down to Seaton Cliffs for some Angus permagloom. By the time I got back to Fife the haar and drizzle had set in. The last few days have been grim out east.

They are actually still around, they're just less visible as procreation and bringing up the kids removes them from general view.

Once the youngsters have fledged then they tend to "reappear" in the public mind.

A lot like us humans actually - kids tend to cramp your nightlife.

Sorry, but that doesn't work. We moved house once the two eldest moved out, but they still found us and moved back in. I largely blame Covid-19 for that though. Next time we'll move further and not tell them our new address.

Real drizzly gloom here.

Looks is as it if trying to brighten up that in theory could spike the atmosphere up. Could be some feisty showers around today

Murky to start with here this morning but it's brightening up now and the air is fairly still. I think it has the makings of a pleasant day which will allow me to get more outside jobs tackled hopefully.

Another dreich start but sun has broken through earlier today and it was already 20c in mid morning but very humid.

Has been  fabulous growing summer for a lot of plants in the garden. The stand out ones are  the parsnips with beetroot in the foreground not far behind.003.thumb.JPG.4914f4787c9e07efa576b79e6273d8c0.JPG

Radar showing some quite intense rain moving up the Clyde valley just now into central Lanarkshire and towards SE Glasgow. Funny direction for it to come.

It did try its little hardest to brighten up around lunchtime. Didnt try very hard though. Back to the mist and drizzle and the breeze has picked up a little.

Just had a look at the radar and it looks to me that that large blob over Northern Ireland is swinging its way towards the members in the boarders areas. @mardatha you might need a boat..
