[Norrance]

Saw this posted on Western Isles weather taken from just West of Stornoway. As an aside I caught my first ever trout on that loch many many years ago.

Can see flashes to the south of East Kilbride. Can't hear any thunder , how far away can you start to hear it?

I can see the same from here, looks like South West so probably the developing cells towards arran. Could be some high level stuff from the main band I guess tho! 

Seething should be with @Mr Frost soon I reckon.

Frequent flashes ,  maybe more Kilmarnock area , not sure. Not heard any thunder yet

Stunning lightning display from ayr beach

Looks awesome from here so must be amazing at the beach! Its getting brighter here with frequent flashes, I've been told off for considering the beach

Seems to be dieing down a bit now with a cool breeze , haven't seen any lightning for 5 or 10 mins. 

Stuff to the south is a bit of a mess but the band is slowly moving north east so I guess a let's see what happens! 

 

@Stormeh must be under the other one at Ardrossan at the moment.

Some really stunning lightning, storms have developed from nothing an hour ago. Beginning to see some lightning from the south

Same here in Cathcart. Got a storm here now, louder thunder and some lightning there also. Seems a taste of things to come today by the sounds of it...

also got woken by heavy rain at 4:30.

most of the storms was in the west on Thursday but one good thing the sun is out so that will give a lot of day time heating to help the storms and LI -3 here later in the day that off the GFs model so i cross my fingers

Dont think I'll need to worry about giving the plants a drink today they getting a lot of that from mother nature had torrential rain on and off since about half 5 here think it's safe to say goodbye heatwave

24c here this morning and very sultry with a hazy/cloudy sky .Fine day for being inside doing paperwork as flies/midges  outside have been  awful the last few days.

Seems that the prospect of anything else electrical has rapidly diminished. Shame.

Just for the record was up to 27.7C yesterday. Currently 20.4C, full cloud, dry and bright.

Always a chance of a flare up? The cloud might not be helping but hopefully it will break.............
