Gorgeous day, and the warmest day of the year by far with a maximum of 21c at lunchtime, a full 5c warmer than that forecast by the Met Office.

A lot of that down to the microclimate the house has - situated in a slight hollow so we tend to pool cold air in the winter but conversely are more sheltered in summer and thus tend to be warmer than the surrounding area.

Plenty of hazy sunshine in the morning but cloudier in the afternoon with some atmospheric cloudscapes in the evening.  Very mild outside still, currently 13.4c!

Garden responding to the warmth, plenty colour now.  The drier conditions recently have been a boon for the primroses & primulas, best show for a number of years.

Really feels like spring now with hazy sunshine, a gentle SW breeze and a temp of around 12C.

The gean tree is in full blossom - pity the flowers are so short-lived.

Edit: The tree is absolutely buzzing with bumble bees

Sun just broken through now as forecast. Down at the coast (Southerness) dropping essential supplies off. Probably only 15/16c with a keen wind here but nice views over the solway

I’d think back home we could be maxing at later 18/19c as very sheltered.

Saw one of those yesterday on our walk. No chance to photograph though unfortunately. Got up to 16.2C here but felt warmer in the sunshine.

Evening all, plenty of sunshine today but the wind took the edge off the temperature despite the fact Leuchars recorded a very respectable 17c. Pleasant where you were sheltered from the wind!

Respectable here too at 17.1°C. Actually a bit pink from the ever-strengthening sun. Planted asparagus crowns in a bed prepared with manure and got the hosepipe sprinkler out for the first time this year. Planning the ubiquitous detritus fire tomorrow pm. Love a fire.

Another lovely dry day though a bit cooler with a max of 17c.

A bit more of a breeze today, but that helped bring in clearer blue skies from the NE.  Cloudy evening onward.

Other half decided to slumber out on the lounger early in the afternoon, got an overdose of Vitamin D and a salmon face as a result.  Yep, a bit of UV power in the sun these days.

Happy Easter all, hope you have an overload of chocolate! Another good day weather wise, temp 8.1c, very calm, light cloud, and the wee birdies are tweetling away to their hearts' content! Will potter at home and garden in the morning then a wee walk in the afternoon. I'm lucky as I live very close to the shore so that's where I'll be headed! Went for a walk there on Friday and met quite a few fellow villagers out for their daily constitutional, great to see them, albeit at a distance! We are going to have some party when this CV19 is over with! We do keep in touch via Whatsapp, but nothing beats sitting around a table in the local hostelry sorting out the world's problems and having a damned good laugh into the bargain! It'll come, so until then I will enjoy my walks and Whatsapp chats. Stay safe peeps and enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend!

Surprisingly mild here at 14c and feels fine (humid). Cloudy but bright

Really enjoying the better weather and despite my fair skin I have not yet burnt

Amazed i’m writing this in a wet part of the country esp after February but could really do with some rain

Drizzly rain  after a mild dry start but notice on the radar that sleet is falling on the hills to the NW as this belt of llght rain comes south. We are supposed to be in line for a frost tonight just after the plum trees came into blossom with the warmth yesterday.  May be a second year running that we get no plums because of a badly timed frost . Currently 5c. Cows out again but will come in pretty quick again to get out of the cold wind and rain.

Lovely sunny early morning gave way to dull murk and then an hour or so of drizzzzzly rain.  Damson tree in full flower now so fingers crossed tonight's slight ground frost doesn't knacker them. @Northernlights - you're a week or so ahead of us here, our plums are that much off flowering yet.  An April slizzard off the firth usually gets either plums of damsons.
