Another glorious day today with unbroken sunshine and calm conditions.

Max temperature of 3c after a cold overnight low of -5.2c.

Snow still hanging on at this level, though at least another inch of cover has melted away - at this rate will be pretty much gone by Friday.

100 meters hill behind me has a dusting! I face directly onto Kilmun Hill (Strone Hill) ect ect and the snow level has dropped from 250/300 meters to about 50 meters in the last hour. @Zenarcher do you have settling snow on the grass? Must be getting close!

Showers lined up nicely for a direct hit!

Been sunny here all day but with a cold wind. Max was 4C after a low of -1.5C this morning.  Heavy snow showers this evening have reached Highland Perthshire but have petered out before or around Dunkeld.
My daughter was skiing at Glenshee today and had a great time. Cold up top in the wind though with drifting powder and ice particles blowing into the face. Highlights were a mountain hare running down a run alongside her and catching a snow devil on film.

Ooft the M77 has disappeared! Looks like it's snowing at home but I'm not there typically... Tonight looks like the best chance of the winter so far for a depth of more than 1cm.

Snow all the way to the coast from that, this is near Ardrossan. @Mr Frost must be in with a shout from the next shower coming in!

Snow now settling on everything here. Took these photos as it started to come down. White lamppost v orange lamppost. Who wins?

Everything white here now. Possibly the best we have had so far this winter.

Shower has now passed through. Photo doesn't do it justice as it has stuck to all the tree branches, hedges etc.

Unusual to see snow near the coast in Ayrshire @Ross B

A lot of shower activity building out west

Could be an interesting night, I think the met office warning area might have been pegged too far west with the showers penetrating well inland

Very light and no chance of anything settling. Main blob drifted south of the Pentlands.

Edit: Settling now but still very light

The temperature got down to -1.9deg/C last night which gave us a nice crisp frosty morning...a noticeably colder feel to the day.

Around 21:30 a wee bit of snow blew through it only lasted a few minutes unfortunately, I see some are having better luck with the white stuff than around here.

I miss the winters when you opened the curtains in the morning to find it had snowed during the night .
