Temperature dropped in the last half-hour or so by 0.5c, down to 0.4c.

Doesn't sound a lot but it has made a big difference for the snow as its now steadily accumulating even though the precipitation rate is the same as the last few hours.

Depth now 1.5cm and local roads turning white so going to be a interesting commute home for some.

Was snowing at home at 6.30am but never really stuck until further north/east past Blyth Bridge. Understand it's still green at home now - too far south and west it seems.... Pah.

Nothing but drizzly rain and quite murky here, we're too low to get anything of interest in a setup like this.

Well, some parts of Scotland are getting battered by snow! Nice pics too!

Some snow also visible over webcams in Scotland:

Snow back on here at home but it's light and not settling.

Edit: And it's back to rain

Great pictures/videos above @Ravelin @Sceptical

The snow covered trees look incredible - proper Winter scene!

What height do you both live at? Would sell my granny for a depth of snow like that this Winter/early Spring!

The house sits at 165 mts asl and theres a couple of inches in the garden. Tillyfourie is around 200 mts asl and the snow is a deeper up there.

If memory serves, this could be the heaviest snowfall since 2018.

Snow is back on and settling much better than earlier in the day.

My house is roughly 220m asl, the picture of the road over Suie Hill was probably taken at just under 400m asl as I stopped on the downhill just over the summit. I certainly wasn't stopping going up!

Melting sleet sliding down my window now - the car had a steady 1.5C for my drive back to the digs and there was no lying snow to be seen anywhere up to about 150m.  All fairly pish really, especially as I had an afternoon out in it planned to coincide with its arrival.

Oh for a decent northerly.  They seem to be lost in the mists of time now.

HOT baws at that.

How do I change this crappy little dull chink noise for NW notifications to something cheerier?

If it's snow and ice you're after, then I managed to capture Greenland and Baffin Island earlier on MN-2 satellite pass. Looks like hefty dose of sea ice, icebergs dotted around.
