Result HC - get to go out in it at last...

Got back home to additional 4cm. Must have pelted down in that lot that passed through at 11am/12noon. Thursday morning? It says 6cm of snow at -1 or 0C before 8am... We shall see.

Currently -0.4C. So that's my twenty fifth air frost.

Yes doubtful how far North this will come and at that angle of approach and with marginal 850's anywhere near the East coast will get cold rain or sleet at best. Inland however?

Gotta say, is the snow tomorrow being underestimated? Freezing already and temp to drop further but massive cloud formation incoming. Might be an interesting mix at dawn. This is NOAA 18 taken 5 mins ago shows very well what's coming.

Yep. I posted something similar to this on the SE thread. Heavy snowfall looks likely!

Stay safe all!

A busy few days for mountain rescue teams - in the Southern Uplands they were rescuing vehicles from snow in the Dalveen Pass, right in the heart of the amber warning area.

They were among 12 people helped to safety by a mountain rescue team after their vehicles became stuck.

Heavy snow this morning, don’t think it had stopped much at all through the night, pic from first thing

28cms cover. Showers through first part of the day. After a bit of a dig, we followed the blue skies down to Laggan

Tired the dog out on the way home up above Aviemore, snow knee deep in parts. Dying light but great conditions. Hope people get a snow fix tomo morning

Lovely! Always seems a bit of a waste when you don’t get the blue skies after a heavy fall. That’s my only gripe with March 2018. Sooooooo bloody grey!

Radar and Met Office say sleet here currently but the lamppost reports snowfall!

Absolutely Ben, can’t beat it, best backdrop for the hills and it’s the best weather to follow heavy snow other than heavy snow   Your neck of the woods looking great there btw, cracking pics!

Cold frosty start here at -8c
