Very beefy showers, bound to get some decent settling of snow if it continues like this through out the day

Would you believe it, it is snowing here :yahoo:

Shut the front door back door and side doors

Could we maybe just maybe get some nice low level surprises.

In the end the "storm" yesterday ended up being a half-hour period of gusty winds in the mid-afternoon before settling down to a stiff breeze for the rest of the night.

Saying that, just a few miles west of here around Alford there were plenty of trees down on the roads - looks like the Pitfichie/Corrennie hills were giving us a bit of shelter from the worst of the storm.

The West Aberdeenshire snowshield is a thing of beauty on the radar this morning, killing everything heading our way.  Unless the wind direction changes direction looks like its going to be a few days of blue skies and a cutting wind.

Currently clear blue skies, 1.5c and a stiff westerly wind.

All white here again after the earlier slush melted, suspect that will be the theme of the day. Gutters are currently overflowing with hail

Any settled snow from earlier is now a slushy deposit. Not expecting much to settle to be honest but fingers crossed that changes as we get towards the end of the day if the showers continue.
