Only -8C according to my car as I passed through at 8am. 3C colder than at my house, but not usual as it's normally colder in valley.

-5C at 10am - having to address frozen car-door locks with some warm water.

Apart from that, it's a clear sunny day with great visibility.

Twentieth air frost at -1.4°C.

Took a couple of shots using nightlight on my Pixel 3 last night. Seems to be a competent system.

Yep - was pitch black. Hand held and I was out of breath climbing up the back garden. The phone requires you to stay still for about 4 seconds whilst it does its wizardry.

Overnight low here of -7.4c and its only now just gone over 0c thanks to the cloud that is rolling in.

Early morning was glorious with plenty sunshine and temperatures well below freezing.

Light winds throughout.

Bennachie earlier today...

It's wet and wild out there. Blowing a hoolie after a snow day at 9am. Currently 4.7/4.0°C.

Interesting week coming up...

Slight frost this morning but nowhere near as cold as others it would seem. Wet, wet, wet now and listening to the rain battering off the window.

Next week looks preety wintry on higher ground in Scotland, significant precipitation and some colder uppers - ski resorts will be happy I suspect after a poor start to the season, often takes until mid Jan before things get going properly..

Very windy day especially afternoon and evening after a cold start at -2c.Took a run through to Thainstone to sell a few cattle this morning and the car thermometer got down to -4c between Huntly and Inverurie. Was very sunny this morning further east.

A cold and frosty morning here but cloud thickened and there has been rain this evening. Temps up to 6.4C now. No sign of the high winds here yet that others are reporting. My daughter says that the rain is battering off her windows in Glasgow and that it has been blowing a hoolie!
