Bizarre here. I had one gust of 37mph about 1:30pm, since then I have only managed 32mph. It was windier yesterday morning.

Currently experiencing the five minutes of exciting weather here. Torrential rain, squally winds and hailstones mixed in.

Squall line fading a bit as it comes across here, but still blowing well!

All rather uneventful here to be honest. A few big-ish gusts of wind, but nowhere near as high as forecast.

Looks as though the pressure has bottomed out too, as I'm seeing an increase now after the recent heavier rain band passed through about 13mins ago..

Squall went through here about half an hour ago giving a few minutes of torrential rain and very strong winds. A lot calmer now with just a light breeze and light rain. 8.7°C

Bit of a storm in a teacup really, admitted thee northern areas did experience somewhat gusty conditions, with these speeds recorded BEFORE midnight

Aonach Mòr 112 mph

Bealach na Bà 112 mph

Cairngorms 112 mph

And locally before midnight:

Mumbles 80 mph

Aonach Mòr  89 mph

Scilly St Mary 76 mph

Isle of Portland 60 mph

Highest I can see in the local area after midnight is

Mumbles 55 mph

Isle of Portland 40 mph

Not a lot of signs of damage, even the recycle bins stood their ground in our road, which is unusual for a SW wind..

Showers this morning earlier, as the SW approaches host the next incoming low..

The forecasts for yesterday were pretty much on the ball.
From 5pm to 11pm we had winds of 23-30 mph with constant 30-38 mph gusts, a handful of gusts 40-49 mph
4.3 mm of rain fell during that period.

More of the same this afternoon and evening.

All calm and dry at the moment, 9.7c, 5-10 mph SSW wind, 999.4 hpa

Yesterday wasn't going to be anything other than a winter low for us(though an interesting storm in other ways for Ireland,Scotland and Wales). The squall was pretty lively but had lost a lot of its intensity as it approached us.

Incoming unnamed low looks to be more of a feature for our area if metO have it right.

Well Brendan made itself felt.last night just as I left work sideways rain and walls of water was not nice. However it left as quickly as it arrived leaving downed trees in its wake. It's not.too bad here this morning now.

The unnamed lows often tend to be more significant than the named ones it seems, especially down here.

I still haven’t recorded a higher gust than early November here all winter.

Got my highest sustained wind and gust during the squall, 32mph gusting to 53mph. But it was very short lived. Not sure how today will pan out, but looks like we'll have strong winds and heavy rain for 6 hours plus. Don't think we'll get anywhere near the battering Brendan doled out to the west of the Isles.

Same here. Surprised how strong the winds are so early. Thought it was going to be an afternoon /evening feature
