Just had a very brief hail shower, so brief the sun stayed out the whole time. The temperatures risen back to 7.6°C after the quick drop earlier.

This summarises the day nicely:

image.thumb.png.53cf54ee241ded7a810d52663f946593.png

Boring

It rains

Rain stops, temperature plummets

Sun comes out, temperature rises

Sun goes to sleep, temperature falls, so does the rain..

And so it goes on...

The most exciting thing that's happened this year was the singular boom of thunder the other night that caused everyone in Bristol to think the Big One had been dropped.

I have got very lucky with my half term outdoor work, yesterday aside.

However lord alive we have actually had a dry day today!

Summers coming...and we will all look back wondering why there is a drought!

A gusty southwesterly out there this evening, albeit dry! 8.4°C

Did see some rain flirting with southern counties on the BBC weather report for mid morning earlier, we shall see.

Bagged a dry day yesterday for a fossil hunting trip to Charmouth and Lyme, with my mate and his two girls. Great fun.

Back to the grot this morning, but hoping this will pass through soon, so we can get outside.

Wind has picked up here this morning 20-25mph and 35-40mph gusts.
Very grey and a little drizzle this morning, 0.2mm.
10.9c, 1019.8 hPa.

Was nice to have some good spells of sunshine yesterday, but the wind kept the feel of it down.

The last week rain was; Monday 4mm, Tuesday 3mm, Wednesday 0.2mm, Thursday 3.8mm and Friday 0 rain. That brings the total so far this month to 88mm.
Was a blustery week with 15-20mph winds and 30-35mph gusts each day, with Wednesday having the lightest winds, gusting to 30mph.
