Although the wind dropped around 10pm to 15-20mph, the gusts were still constant through the night of 25-30mph.
It has stayed much like that this morning, but the stronger 30mph gusts are becoming less.

We managed to 12mm of rain yesterday, mainly from that early evening push through our region.
Since midnight we had a few shows till 3pm, 1mm.
It has been dry since.
Now 8.4c after a low of 6,3c at 3am, 1004.4 hPa.

20 mm of rain here yesterday (calendar day) and that evening push was a bit of a  nightmare for me, I had to head out into the sticks of Hampshire north of here at 5pm, there were bits of broken branches to contend with and huge ponds going halfway across the road.

Had three separate wind gust peaks during the afternoon yesterday but they were beaten earlier this afternoon by 1 mph as often happens here in a westerly rather than southerly (nearby house positions). It was the combination of wind and rain that made the drive so tricky. 31 mph gust at 3 metres surrounded by houses is close to the highest I ever get.

Been a right old mixed bag in Kingsbridge today. Plenty of hefty showers but the lightning kept mostly out to sea south of here.

Noticed a big tree down in the rec near to the cafe, presumably from yesterday's wind. Was being cleared up this afternoon. Wouldn't have wanted to be walking in the park when that came crashing down!

Wind's been ramping up each time a squally shower came through this afternoon and one shower contained sleet around 14.00, but it was short lived.

Heavy sleet landing on the windscreen on my drive home around 430-5, couldn’t be bothered to divert up to the common but no doubt it was wet snow up there.

Not that I saw it here in Poole, but my wife assures me they had sleet in Bournemouth, just around lunch time. That wind does has a bit of bite with it, as I'm out staring at a sooper sized moonrise..The neighbours fence took a hammering yesterday, seems as though Dennis might finish it off...

Most of the showers missed here so it's been mostly dry here apart from a couple of brief showers this afternoon. Feels cold now. Reached 9.9°C, currently 5.3°C

You know times are desperate when CFS charts a month ahead are being churned out! I honestly don’t see much wintry potential in the foreseeable, unless we have a miracle. Roll on spring soon enough

We have wet snow. Blimey.

Edit : Started out as rain, then sleet. Finished with sleet, then rain. But importantly, snow in the middle.

Nice hail laying within and blocking roof guttering, briefly covered the ground, rooves and cars 4 times this morning but the ground isn’t cold enough to sustain cover.
