The rain band seems to extend noticeably further north (in the SW) than predicted as recently as the 9am (current) UKV this morning and I just can't believe the current forecasts that it will dry out by 2pm to 3pm here. Overcast with drizzly bits I'd say, probably all afternoon.

"But at least it's mild" as they say.

Ho hum, another duff forecast MetO..

Dry and cloudy until mid afternoon, since then it’s been wet with mostly light rain but occasionally heavier. 8.3°C

Beautiful moonlit clear night after an indifferent day which had brief hazy sun and brief light rain at times.

Going to make the most of tomorrow’s wind to wash/dry bedding just hope it doesn’t end up next door !

Bloody predictive text! Meant to say moonlit not moody!!

Rather grey today although we had the brief spell of hazy sunshine. Drizzle / light rain at times too.

10.1°C the high today, it’s currently 4°C under clearer skies

Morning All, after an overnight low of 3.3°C at: 01:14 things have warmed a tad under clear skies, currently 5.5°C.

Next week potential for strong winds changed on the latest chart as the low appears just a bit further south putting the west country in the strongest wind field. Of course, still too far out yet to be sure of it's track or intensity, but potentially a talking point in here next week to wake the thread up for summer (which I know will follow...)

Hopefully most of the showers have cleared off with plenty of clear sky and some bits and pieces of fracto Cu at the moment. Still breezy but that should abate through the day. So hopefully at least three better days before the rot sets in again

Are we folk on the SW now in the firing line with next weeks storm ?
On the latest projection when will this be at its peak ?

Although a period of windy weather is pretty much the best bet on the card next week the track and intensity of the low in question remains very uncertain as illustrated by the differences vis the gfs and ecm this morning. In the volatile environment of the Atlantic forecast for next week much can change in two or three days so best keep your powder dry for the moment/ The stuff posted in the mod thread yesterday should just be ignored

Not a bad day here, great for drying the washing! Plenty of sunshine and a max temp of 9.4°C.

I concur, however the sheets and duvet cover were wrapped around the line so much that it was like undoing a jigsaw!

Disappointingly cloudy both inland and on the coast this morning.  Much calmer than yesterday, made for a pleasant coastal walk.  Not sure where the sea ends and the sky begins though.....

Give it a few more days and you wont know where the beach ends and the sea begins, as one will definitely be covering the other
