Started off with blue skies but cloud is rolling in again. The wind feels cold today as well.

Another crackin' day in paradise, slightly cooler than of late with 21.6°C at: 12:49, but to expect some degradation as we head through the weekend into Monday, which I hope is cooler as I have to clean the insides of my conservatory so cool is good for a day..

23.2°C was the high here, so a touch cooler than yesterday... currently 13.5°C

It is that time of the year where my bedroom takes the brunt of the sun / warmth and releases it all in the evening... so it's a toasty 27°C in here right now. Thank you insulation.

A fairly chilly min of 3.8C here. I noticed big local variations in temperatures depending on elevation.. some stations on the hills were in double figures.

I did my exercise early today, cycled up a nearby hill and over to the coast. It was only about 6C in the valley when I set off, but felt very pleasant by the time I'd got to the the top of the hill at 210m. Possibly about 15C up there!

Also noticed an interesting feature yesterday.. the wind picked up meaning it was 15C here at 2am at the same time as Exeter Airport about 5 miles to the NW was 6.9C.

Anyway I noticed high ground was still the warmest today at 11am and noon.

The 21C's at 11:00 were between 200-408m high, and the 22C's at 12:00 were between 252-408m.

It was 21.9C at East Oakment Farm on Dartmoor (408m), so I wonder how warm low elevations could get later?

I also noticed it reached 25.0C in Bude yesterday, the warmest in the country. A bit cooler here near the south coast at 19.8C.. Though the sea breeze seems weaker today, up to 21.2C so far here.

Thank your lad for an excellent lunch idea. Two types of cheese, no less.

Bit of convection out West now...

That's the direction that I'm looking. I can see Clearbury Ring on the far right of your shot.

Sunny again but a bit disappointing temperatures wise as it’s been hovering around 17°C all afternoon with a light breeze. Still feels warm out of the breeze though. 17.4°C

My patio lights just switched themselves on. Turns out the heatsink that I've rigged up on my Raspberry Pi controller has just failed.

Now I've switched them off manually, they'll come again when it cools down.

Brilliant development near Dorchester, nothing to a red core within 5 minutes!

Some good convection towards the Mendips too ...

I can see the cloud tops of a cell just North of Bere Regis. If it turns electrical, I should be able to pick it up.

Here's what I moved today.

I already buried half of it and that's what's left

Might see it appear on the radar in a bit.

Ha. Collapsed, just like that.
