For what it’s worth today has been the warmest day since 1st November with the max being 14.1c . That day was also a warm sector drizzly/showery/windy day with brief bright spells.

Not a bad day in all and a high of 13.9C with sunny spells. Different story out there now with very heavy squally rain and gusty winds as the front moves through.

Temperature reached the dizzy heights of 15.6°C here today. Customers into the shop were remarking how warm and sunny it was (I had no idea as work has no windows). Fast forward to this evening and we now have horizontal rain and a screaming gale. Oh how I love the UK's weather haha.

Terrific thunderstorm over Bristol on my commute in this morning. Lots of hail around and one lightning strike with a very loud and long clap of thunder.

My housemate has sent me a picture from home in Stoke Gifford and it's like it snowed there. Hail has covered everything.

As I headed out to Bedminster Down, there was sleet, hail and rain in separate bands which was quite interesting. As quick as it came, it's gone now though leaving brilliant blue skies and sunshine.

Made for an interesting commute!

The Bristol Channel seems to be rather convective today! Getting lots of pulse storms/showers bubbling up from it and dumping hail around the Bristol and North Somerset area.

Bristol itself is also flooded in parts but that's due to the high tides and not the showers whizzing by.

Still a little hail in shaded areas from the thunderstorm 3 hours ago that briefly turned to sleet and snow on its back edge after temps took rather a large tumble from 4.3 to 1.6 in NW Bristol.

Currently gorgeously sunny and feeling rather pleasant out of the wind at 6.8 degrees.

Meanwhile back in Southern England, a lot more cloud than 6am this morning when it was really clear, now just peaked at 11.5°C at: 12:30.. oh and dry..

After what was a clear start, we had a sharp shower after 9 this morning, that set the page for the rest of the day with a mix of sunny spells and sharp showers, along with that keen breeze.
