Fields flooded here with water pouring off them into the roads. Luckily, the council cleared the drains after Ciara earlier in the week, so spot flooding on roads only a minor issue.

Total rainfall here since 12am Saturday is 43mm, still raining currently so will update when the front has cleared completely.

Had a nice view of lightning in that band that’s just arrived, driving along the M4 towards Bristol.

Just arrived home to squally hail and sleet splodges.

Huge clap of thunder just now in Stroud! Wasn’t expecting that! Unusual for February.

I wait 3 years to break my wind gust record and then it goes 4 times in a week. A rogue gust this morning of 56mph on the Davis station. 55.9mph on the Ecowitt. A few more panels destroyed - a lot of work to do!

Sounds like from recent reports the follow on showers after Dennis seem to be quite feisty in nature. Let's hope we get a share..

UKV showed them weakening as they ventured further East. Looks to be the case going by the radar.

It’s time for me to play ‘School Holiday Outdoor Work Wet Weather Lottery’ again.

Yes it has been a largely terrible winter and particularly this weekend. However all bets are on it being wet in Trowbridge at 07.00 tomorrow, because that’s the way it nearly always goes on the first workday!

We’ll see, it could be fine until later a la Met Office app and Net Weather forecast. However BBC and Apple app suggest showers!

Just had a rather prolonged and deep rumble of thunder here in Keynsham.

Took the dog by surprise to say the least.

Anyone with any ideas how high the Severn will be in Tewkesbury Tuesday?

Read a few bits saying it’s going to break the 2007 record of 5.5m... 6m predicted

Think you will find that info here somewhere CRU

Pleased to say it’s so far been a fine breezy morning in Trowbridge. Also the approaching showers seem to be breaking up so hopefully I will get lucky.

Local news suggests it will only peak at 4.9m
