Woke up to a covering of snow, rain, sleet, snow and graupel showers all morning at work (near Bristol). Just had biblical hail, thunder and lightening. Feel like I'm in a meteorological demonstration lesson!

Had a heavy shower here not long ago that had a bit of sleet in it and a big temperature drop from 7°C to 3.9°C in less than half an hour.

Yep. More flakes mixed in, the more it goes on.

This must be similar to whatever went through here at approx 5am this morning. Just went upstairs for a velux check and it's making the same dinking noise.

Was nice to see actual snowflakes for a while. Not long enough though.

Some sleet in Bath under some clouds that were so dark the streetlights should've been on and then some hail just a minute ago. I saw a photo of by the uni on the hills near Bath and there was no accumulation but some actual snowfall there today.

Variable sunshine today, but it has been a brighter day than recent, showers at times and some brief wintry interest this afternoon... a cool day with a max of 6.5°C at: 12:41

Currently 3.5°C

No further showers after the sleet around lunchtime so ended up being a dry afternoon with sunny spells and a very cold wind. Reached 7.9°C, currently 4.5°C

Mostly clear and breezy. 2.2°C

The forecast for sunshine doesn't look too bad tomorrow, moreso the first half of the day, before the cloud arrives. Milder from Thurs with temperatures up to 12°C for the rest of the week.

The temp is currently as high now as it has been all day, a bit odd...

It hasn't reached 10C since 16th January here but that looks like changing to end this ghastly month. Today was a rare day of interest in a month I can't wait to finish, and throw in the trash weatherwise.

Another light dusting of snow here this morning. Wasn't expecting it to settle. Melting fast now though.

Interesting to see the roller coaster ride on the MOD forum, they're in a downer now, even as far out as the next 16 days (mind you who can forecast that far out?) Wautumn rolls on as far as we are concerned, so maybe a few more red sky mornings..

Started icy and frosty, in fact quite treacherous on some surfaces. A beautiful mostly sunny Springlike day just nudging into double figures.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
