Not a clear start this morning, a lot of cloud around, dry with plenty of white frost, temperature now on 0.7 C with a low since midnight of -0.7 C, below zero C by 1845 yesterday evening

Low cloud and fog cleared through the early hours as the easterly wind picked up a little. Widespread frost. Clear spells for a time this morning, cloud increasing from the NE.

Minimum temperature on grass -3.7c.

Yesterday.

 

Mainly clear and cold overnight, widespread slight to moderate frost. Freezing fog developing towards dawn. No change at observation, visibility <100 yards. The fog lifted for a couple of hours allowing some sunshine. Fog returned intermittently after lunch. Cold, frost persisting in shade.

The thick fog which persisted all yesterday eventually cleared around 2030 and the temperature rose a degree despite clear skies overhead. A dry night with clear periods and a slight air frost towards dawn. Cloudier after dawn with a short snow shower around 0940.

Apart from a snow shower around 0940 it was a dry day with sunny intervals. Any daytime cloud cleared towards sunset.
