This evening's fax charts Thursday > Friday has the peak of ex Lorenzo west of Ireland midday Thursday. Not being privy to the related upper air charts I will take punt on it then becoming separated from the intensifying trough in mid Atlantic and associated jet and without the fuel supply in the next 24 hours drifts slowly east an fills rapidly This process continues over the next 24 hours as the subtropical high ridges north to the west of Ireland

Hurricane #Lorenzo now edging north from the #Azores, having passed #Flores and #Corvo. Hurricane winds and huge seas. Remnants, after it has transitioned, will head closer to Ireland and UK later this week  as #StormLorenzo

Live shot at 07:42am. Even before remnant Lorenzo arrives there's some pretty wet weather out west by the looks of it.

So as ex-Lorenzo will have impacts on Ireland and the UK it will be known as "Storm Lorenzo"

"The effects of Storm Lorenzo will begin to be felt across Ireland from midday Thursday, peaking late Thursday evening and Thursday night, easing Friday morning.

Met Éireann will issue national weather warnings at 10am this morning and the NECG (National Emergency Coordination Group) are meeting at 10:30am."

Anyone got a link for a fully working image of this with the south east not cut out?

I know they have one as on the summary page you can see a full probability image, but clicking on the larger image gives this cut off.

You will not find one, their probability mapping does not cover any further than that which is shown. We had this a few years ago with another TS that crossed the date line.

You have to go into the graphics archive and move to the most recent frame

Thanks! Odd that their direct link doesn't show up the latest time frame

I originally though it was a time zone issue too but looking at the key message image could see the full probability track, which kept me wondering why the full image wouldn't show, I remember seeing a full image yesterday but couldn't find it today lol

Worth staying up with the latest forecasts when you have a chance though, in case of any last minute changes.

This right turn has only appeared very late, so there could be changes yet

Nothing to worry about then for Ireland

Nothing excessively to worry about one would have thought but still some strong winds around during tomorrow, particularly along the west coast of Ireland
