The squall line is a tad more intense than I was expecting in Bexhill, with gusty winds and >moderate-heavy rain.

Looking good for some! That's quite an area of heavy rain moving NE with occasional lightning showing up on the radar.

Just had a heavy downpoor here but no thunder with temps dropping back to 7.2.c. The sun is back out now. What a change in weather from recent days.!!

Just had thunder in a heavy downpour and the temperature was only 9c, more like Smarch than the end of April.

Was able to hear a few rumbles of thunder from the Cambridge cell.

As hoped for, some lovely skies and interesting clouds to be enjoyed today. A couple of pics. The first from this morning is overlooking Hadleigh cricket ground with the White Hart pub (cream building) in the distance where I used to sit with a pint watching the game (sob). The second taken this afternoon as the heavy showers approached.

Some lovely stormy weather this afternoon. A rumble or two just after lunch then the torrential rain arrived at 4.30 just as we were unpacking the car from our every two weeks shopping trip. Feel sorry for those queuing in it.

Hello Looks like the SE has seen some lively weather today. Similar in Prague, gone are the blue skies and have had thundery showers, strong, cool winds and plenty of cloud. An active front is sweeping through as I type, with rain and wind lashing the windows.

Hope all are safe and well, including loved ones. Mine are all ok, apart from one friend that works for the NHS. She’s now recovering well from the virus but had a very nasty few weeks and she never makes a fuss (typical Scorpio ♏️). Makes me take social distancing and hygiene seriously.

After 18mm yesterday I had another big fall today 10mm...some very heavy rainfall was seen in London area. No thunder and lightening. Up to 27th my rainfall was 9% of average I ended month with 82% goes to show what a very wet day or two can do.

Ok, we've had the wet and chilly weather, can we have some sunshine and warmth back?  At least long enough sunny spells to go for an hours walk.. today has been a bit of a write off.

Several rumbles (including one big one!) and torrential rain and hail on/off all day (more on than off!) Looks like today is the last of the rain for several days to come with temps improving along the way.

Stay safe everyone.

Hi all! I hope everyone is fairing well. I managed to go out for a nice long walk today.

A small line of moderate-heavy showers skirted just to my North by a couple of miles or so at one stage. I was able to capture some photos of the leading edge of the band of convection, as well as additional distant convection to my NE. Panasonic LX-15
