Big storm rolling through south Cambridge here. Booming thunder and torrential rain. More like July than April!

Just had approx 37 fat raindrops from the shower close to Norwich. Looks like more pot and veg garden watering this evening....

Anyone seen any lightning from the south herts/beds storm, sat outside watching and didn't see anything.

Yep. Constant lightning in it.

What a difference a day makes, eh?

Windy, cold and on and off light rain.

I've just stepped out for a smoke and jeez! It's really fresh in that nagging easterly breeze... Gone from wearing hardly anything to thick hoody, tracksuit bottoms and socks in my sliders .. Might have to get me long John's back out

Quite a 24hr difference. Heat index of 26°C yesterday and a windchill of 7°C today. Brrr..

In the same zone as St Neots it seems, not a sausage all day whilst watching clouds build all around and family and friends all over the SE enjoying storms!! Happens so often here I do wonder if there is a local geographical feature that helps inhibit storms. Frustrating!!

Did you see the storm to the east? It was the closest to Bedford and produced some very bright cloud to cloud bolts.

Ah well at least you got some in the end .

Was such a change late last night- windy and cold in next to no time, 2 seasons in 1 day stuff!

Early days on the storm front, hopefully a decent convective spring/summer coming up.

I noticed a thundery  looking sky just before it got dark (had that grey blueness about it) and maybe saw 4 odd flashes from where i was later. Had a peek on the radar and couldn't see any storms coming to me . That was it, apart from a strong breeze and the fact it went quite cool quick.

Hope everyone has had a good Easter, despite the circumstances. The weather here changed quite dramatically today, as the cold front that moved through SE England last night passed through here today. The day started sunny and warm (reached 17°C) but cloud quickly moved in from the N, with a strong and gusty wind. The temperature dropped 9°C in a few hours.

Feeling very cold on my morning run here (3°C) and there were even a couple of heavy snow/graupel showers! Crazy.
