it will be summer soon with temps regularly hitting the 30's and humidity through the roof and sticky nights, so don't worry.

Google photos "Remember this day" has just popped up with 28th Feb 2018.

17cms of snow, heavy snow showers on and off all day, temperature never higher than -1, snow day off work for me and off school for my daughter. Brilliant day. Oh for more days like that...

I miss those days

Yes i think they can do with a boost as i'm sure some people out there are confused and think you can catch a virus from beer.

Well, I do recall someone posting (I think it was on Youtube, many years ago) that certain, nefarious genetic engineers were transmitting viruses via telephone wires.:shok:

1 final day of this god awful 'winter' to go...sadly I've got a feeling it's going to continue like this for a couple or so weeks, let it stop!

I was just looking at that squall line Mark. I've highlighted it on the radar, stretching all through England and into France. NMM shows it moving through our Region over the next few hours, bringing gusts of up to 85kmh (52mph). Should have cleared into the North Sea by 11.00.

Such joyous grey skies and pouring rain this morning, a real boost to one’s spirit Should be clearing here in an hour or so, hopefully some sunnier skies to come. Think the squall line just went through as it went darker and the rain was very heavy for 10 minutes.

At least it sounds nice against the window when you're snuggled up in bed. Small mercies.

This anvil above me is producing rain/sleet on the radar but nothing is falling here.

Some of the rain, or apparently snow, is also visible in the distance from here

Also in the picture below, you can see a disassembled shed. That was from Storm Ciara.

Evaporative cooling, sometimes it all evaporates before it hits the ground.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
