Things beginning to look interesting. Look at the development starting on the Kent coast. Little cell developing near Lydd

That storm we had here yesterday may have lowered the temps, currently 21.9c compared to yeterday's 30c plus at this time and rising, but it's still flaming humid, at least some more storms to come.

Barely 23C here, feels properly chilly

Mind you I'd swap the nice heat for a few weeks of steady drizzle, just to revive the countryside....

23c to me is warm, but then the locals this way think I’m barmy when I go walking my dogs at 0c without a coat on, in fact it’s been commented that they know it must be flippin cold if I’ve actually put a coat on  just not a heat person, whereas my family are all sun worshipers and will merrily sit for hours in blazing 30c and my sister has been complaining it’s been cold and putting blankets on her bed overnight this week. Think I must have been adopted from a village of eskimos

Is that so?

Sadly....i'm not far off the M11 junction for Trumpington - most of the good stuff went to the east. Law of sod.

It's actually one of the coolest places in the UK here today....stuck at 19c under cloud and rain all day. Bit of a forecast bust, was meant to be 28/29c.

Some action just kicking off to the south and east of London . This looks like going through London if it gains intensity etc .

It's only 24.6 degrees here, but dp is 20 and humidity 77% and I'm sweating just as much as when it was thirty odd degrees. Need the air to clear soon please.

If nothing else,  at least the sky is more photogenic than recently even if there are no storms for this corner of se Essex!

All depends on cloud cover at the moment, if the sun comes out temps will soar and hopefully so will the storms.

North and South downs doing their work.

Meanwhile, a drizzle streamer for the Sussex coast, shockingly poor weather with conditions as they are.

My M.O app forecasts drizzle for the weekend at times too!

Torrential storm here (just south of Guildford) lots of lightening and the rain is just unbelievable. Keeping a close eye on potential flooding now.

I'm sure it's on the way and the cooler air, but still feels humid.

Convective clouds setting up here in Surbiton at a similar time to yesterday. It's been sunny but with high cloud too this morning, feeling humid. Let's hope the atmosphere can keep the energy levels up.

Edit: Sitting in the garden with a cup of tea hearing rumbles quite close to the south east. Reminds me of the constant distant rumbles of yesterday when the systems split around us.

It's looking like I'm needing the storms to fire up over the Belgium/France border to get to my Maidstone/Medway location.

Everything passing further West.

Mostly inter cloud lightening that is hardly visible except for one fork lightening over to my west possible near Chipstead. Still no rain yet but very humid and lots of thunder.
