That would be from the outflow boundary pushing northwards.

My Davis weather station has logged Friday 35.5 (down on previous Friday’s 36.4C), Saturday 33.5, today 32.0 at 15.14. Currently 21 and 89% humidity, with today’s life saving wind diminished to...0mph. It’s going to be more difficult to sleep than last night that’s for sure.  I consider myself lucky living in a village with open space at bottom of my long garden, even in a sadistic architect designed house with all bedrooms facing west.
Feeling for those in urban areas tonight.
Met Office forecasting 33 for tomo, Tues and Wednesday here.   Wonder if I’ll get 6 consecutive days of plus 30C?

I’m sitting out in garden it’s pretty nice 25C could get used to this

What’s interesting is my high temp was only 30.4C the temp began to shoot for heavens then just before 3pm an estuary breeze must’ve set in. SJP just 5 miles to my west was 32.4C amazing the differences you see in London within short proximity.

Arpege going for a seabreeze tomorrow to kick in for Worthing, may get up to 30 by midday before falls down to 24/25 in the afternoon, suppose fine margins as if seabreeze not strong enough will be another scorcher, Tuesday is looking different 34 degrees, parts of the south east could get 36

I've been keeping my eye on that little lot for the last hour or so. It just doesn't seem to be moving anywhere fast!

Need my storm fix!!

Currently on a weekender with the kids on Mersea Island and I’m sitting (getting bitten to death) watching the lightning in the distance. Hoping it will amp up a smidge, but the ambient flashing is pretty cool.

Sitting in my back garden here in St Leonards on Sea and watching the lightning currently out in The Channel. Just one distant rumble of thunder heard so far but it's a start.

A rather chilly start here at 15C, that wind still blowing quite strongly off the Wash and there is still low cloud drifting in. I am honestly struggling to think that 31C will be reached here.

Another day of this heat with no reward.
Maybe if a few of us have a large BBQ, we can break the cap?

There’s a blob of precip building in France that is moving in our direction. I have no idea if it’s a storm, it’ll keep building or even make it here - I’ll leave that for the storm experts to assess, but I’m keeping an eye on it
