You're forgiven, BB...Lydd Airport was showing 27C at 8am BTW!:shok:

I was at 27 last report, not sure what time that was now, I wonder if Lydd has reached 30 now too.

Norwich showing 23c now, and the NE has started, not strong but definitely feeling a little wee breeze :yahoo:

The low (if you can call it that) was 23.0c last night. Currently 33.0c

Sitting in the living room with two fans on, curtains closed and it’s 27.5c in here...we’re not built for this heat in the UK!

Currently in the Surrey Hills, cloudy with a light breeze. Can't see 30 being achieved tbh.

Cloudy and very muggy here in Surbiton. Can see bits of blue in the distance. 26 degrees in the lounge with the door open.

Call me a grump, but I hope this cloud sticks around all day.  Although it's humid, the cloud seems to be keeping the heat suppressed, so feels slightly more comfortable than yesterday.

Not far from you and mainly blue skies here and the temps shot up - I’m a grump now too lol

Well not as hot here on the muddy Riviera as in Sussex but already above the 'hoped' for 23/24c that I thought due to a sea breeze. 26.4c currently and little wind.

Still reading 23c Norwich at midday, that’s thankfully well down on midday yesterday and a definite light NE breeze. Feeling less sick now than this morning with that wind change, I’m guessing the NE wind hasn’t reached Kent yet @alexisj9?

I know, the cloud is starting to thin here now and already feels hotter ?

There had better be a decent storm or two in the pipeline for putting up with this heat!

For me I’m in north Kent and no real breeze - certainly doesn’t feel like it’s shifted to the NE yet.

Looking inland from here, the South Downs seem to be breaking the cloud up and it is disipating.

The channel seems to be acting as a cloud incubator at the moment, and the land a cloud destroyer!

Hang on a minute....is that a NE breeze I feel. I think it just might be (not making much difference in the sunshine to though)

We have 33.2 now, and an 8 mph sw wind. Been in that range or less, and veriable all day.

Edit tried to post this earlier, but Internet hub over heated, not sure if it worked or not, but as still in editor, posted it now.

I was going to drive to the coast for a bit of relief from the heat but apart from getting  the Aircon on for 20 minutes it seems pointless.
