Yup 35c, absolutely horrendous. Still no sign of any cloud or the winds turning yet....

I now have some instability showing in the NW, nothing over head yet. A bit stronger looking than last weeks feathers though.

was up early today to do housework before it got too hot. I am in doors and my cheeks feel like they are burning, but i'm generally just sweaty.

Who the hell put that blanket of cloud up? It actual looked quite stormy for a second, but ofc not chances of that.

Hubs has ordered pizza. too hot too put the oven on.

*sweats*

33c reached back home today. However currently a more pleasant 27c in Great Yarmouth for a short weekend break with family.

Your nearest station (Norwich has reached 35c). Quite impressive indeed. It might have been higher south of the city, the car read 37c around the bypass (Typically 1c too high).

Had a max of 35.2 so far, has gone down to 34.9 recently so I think that's it, considering wind is now southerly rather than swterly we'll find out. Still no cloud.

It’s amazing the different being right on the coast makes, with Norwich reaching 35c, Yarmouth 8c lower. Still waiting for that wind to change direction, or tonight is gonna be yucky to sleep.

Will the oncoming ppn make it?

If it does, doubt it will reach the ground. Unless by some miracle it gets heavier and most definitely will not reach here on the east coast

An unpleasant piece of news for us over who've been hoping for a lovely refreshing NNE breeze, tomorrow... I've just watched the Met O's Saturday morning forecast -- there'll be that NE breeze alright... but with temps ranging from 32C, on the north Norfolk coast to 37C at London Heathrow!!!

Reached 35C on the garden thermometer in Uxbridge at about 2 now completely overcast and down to 31C.

4 miles to Northolt and 5 miles to Heathrow so thermometer seems about right

Need that wow emoticon rather than sad face for this, how can it be that hot from the north east. I'm guessing the upper pattern is still coming up from the south.

Apparently been the hottest august day For 17 years according to the beeb. Doubt it will take another 17 years the way the temps are going up each decade (or so it feels) or maybe just me getting older!

31.3c max on the Riviera today so our hottest day of the summer and still just above 28c at the moment!!...hopefully that chart above will give the coasts a rest bite tomorrow (roughly 23/24c here with an onshore breeze).

Personally, I don't see how things can be that warm (right on the coast) with the wind coming down from the north like that... 25C would be quite enough for me; but I'm around 8 miles' west of Lowestoft.

I'll eat my hat, should the north Norfolk coast get anywhere near 90f, tomorrow!:unsure2:
