To be fair - it is patchy - more so than the UKV suggests too. Just not in your part of Essex right now

What is the meteorological explanation for this cloud? The satellite shows it moving SE, but it keeps on backfilling to the north. Odd.

Had about an hour or hazy sun today. I get the stuff that @Paul was saying, but it has been a poor forecast today. That said, the back edge of this cloud seems to be on the move now, so hopefully we will see some sustained sunny spells.

18.2°C right now. Cloud blocking the sun out right now. Would of hit 20°C if it was out.

It's probably being blown in off the see by the wind, which feel lovely today, nice breeze helping to keep the heat down.

No it’s moving down from the NW, but it’s only forming around a line stretching SW from The Wash.

Dropped in to check today's SE weather opinions and see I'm not alone in my disappointment! I was promised sun all day again too, didn't last very long. I've obviously been spoilt by the new normal Mediterranean climate here in the SE

Is it me or is it bloody humid today? Been much warmer temperature wise recently but today's the first day I've really felt it.

If anything down here it's much fresher today, first time I haven't been on a sweat in days. A nice wind is balancing things out.

Looks like it’s caused by a weak cold front moving down from the N/NE

That explains it. Not sure why this wasn’t factored into some of the forecasts though. Unless it appeared at short notice?

This weather forecasting is a funny old game at times. Started sunny followed by a lengthy spell of cloud,(that front) now back to sun and temps up to 26.1c after low 20's most of the day, not quite what i was expecting this time yesterday for today.

Feeling rather warm and a bit humid now that the sun has come out here.

Looks like the switch to cooler conditions next Thursday is becoming more likely.. ☃️

Another beautiful day here if rather cloudy for a few hours. Loving every minute of this beautiful lockdown weather (forgetting the rainy miserable blips)

Much needed from that washout rainy winter past!!

It was probably a little less weak than they thought? I’m definitely no expert

Chucking it down here since 5am, May has been quite wet. Usually means a hot summer to come, will see.

Might as well just do a blanket update for today and the next few...

Sunny, easterly winds, warm....

Deep blue skies here with low humidity and a temp of 24.5c. The planet is healing itself
