V. warm in London now. 28°C here.

Cloud ruined the day in parts of East Anglia unfortunately, but still mid 20s there.

I think heathrow will pass that and would not be surpised to see the mid 28's. by the end of the afternoon, it's just hit 27.9c here in Boxmoor.

I hope so - it may silence the "Heathrow only gets records because of the heat from the jet engines" argument!

Got super hot and humid the last hour or so. Definitely a sleeping with the windows wide open sort of night.

I've got to wear PPE tomorrow for work to see patients. I might just melt.

Slightly cooler than yesterday which was a surprise, but you could feel the slight chill in the sea breeze. 20.1 the max, and this didn't peak until 17.45.

The clouds are already bubbling up at 8am - hoping for a good storm today. ⛈

Well....the ‘heavy thunderstorms’ forecast here produced a mind boggling 0mm of rain. It’s now blue skies again and expecting another warm to hot day.

Another warm/very warm day coming up it seems.

No rain and no lingering cloud this morning so most places low 20s already.. 27-28°C this afternoon. ☀️

The stunning weather is set to reemerge next week too. Spring 2020 has been lovely.

Well so much for the thunderstorm threat...wasn't even worth mentioning on the BBC forecast yesterday. I've counted 1 day with a decent convection heavy shower/T-storm threat this spring and that's it, just feel like our weather is getting less varied.

Some stations @ 27C at 1pm. Chance that today may be warmer than yesterday.

Apart from some early cloud and the odd bit of cumulus / mid level cloud, it's been much sunnier today than yesterday.

Beautiful day today. Currently 24c and quite a lot of high level cloud to my west. I can even make out some of the showers that have just departed Norfolk.

Not a cloud in the sky here, and it's hot, and very humid, the layer is making me feel like I'm melting.

In other words they (BBC (MeteoGroup) and no doubt others) were not very accurate, trying to predict convectional activity is precarious a few days in advance.

That narrow band of activity early moved through quite quickly, did'nt even notice it here, pepped up over the north sea though.

Horrible conditions - usual late spring/early summer set-up in the christmas pudding - humid!
