Looks like a repeat of 2018 could be on the cards...although there has been some nippy days this month. Now we've seen somewhat of a pattern change with more of an Atlantic direction to the wind it should mostly be off a warm/very warm Tm in the coming days.

That is a very bold call. I’d say that is incredibly unlikely, and after this spring we have had never known such a sunny spring. We are going to end up disappointed at one point! I think June will be good but mixed feelings about July/August. Long may it continue though.

Quite a warm evening but temps are dropping nicely. Already 19-20°C around London, should drop to around 13-15°C overnight.

I think 28.5°C tomorrow

I like tall grass, depending on type, it can look like a field of wheat.

It's about to start flowering, or whatever grasses do. I will be sneezing for weeks!  And it's too scrappy to look pretty.

Warm enough for shorts this afternoon for a couple of hours

Thursday - who knows? N Essex and Mid Suffolk can be the places to catch something, Norfolk not so much these days.

Finally got rid of the very chilly strong breeze yesterday (down to a light to moderate breeze) that’s been keeping the temperature down in the mid/high teens here and I wake to fog!

Cyep true, that the only problem, I get the sneezes too. I hate hay fever, and anti histamines work for tree polen but not grass polen in my case.

Feeling warm already, temps in the low 20s across the region with a light southerly wind.

Hottest day of the year incoming.. ☀️ 29/30°C possible?

30c isn’t going to happen I feel. 28, small chance of 29c.

It’s doesn’t feel as warm here on the coast today compared to yesterday stuck at 18c with a  sea breeze but warm in the sun, Tomorrow looks warmer with maybe a few storms around hopefully

Possibly a shot at the date record still, although still loads of cloud here. had about 10 mins sun in the last hour. Very disappointing forecast which said sunny all day.

I’m just on the edge of the strip of cloud here in Cambridge - probably about 30% cloud cover here at the mo, which is slowly increasing. It’s got to 27c, but looks like somewhere else around London will get the daily maximum.

What’s the main reason for the cloud in this zone and nowhere else?

I was wondering that. No mention of it on the BBC weather. What's annoying is that if you get stuck under a cloud, you're under it for ages as the clouds are hardly moving.

27.0c here at the moment with a gentle breeze and little cloud apart from the odd vapour trale, lets see if we can squeeze a bit more out of this sun in the next couple of hours.

This is where I wish I had more knowledge. It’s a well defined strip - clear either side, and nowhere else in the country. Is it a small convergence zone? I honestly don’t have a clue.
