Typical.....clear skies all day, now there’s high cloud obscuring the stars for the meteor shower

Looks like tonight is going to be a repeat

Evening all

Three days without a cloud in the sky here in lowland East London but as others have mentioned a noticeably chilly ENE wind.

To be fair, it's my favourite type of weather - fine with sunshine and low humidity.

4 perfect days in a row and set to continue for rest of week the best April ever? 2011 was certainly warmer but sunshine is really quite something after today Heathrow will be on ~180 hours, the 200 milestone will be no problem this has been a better summer month than many August’s. Model output however looking less encouraging as we head into May.

'ning all. Just finished dog walk in a cool air but at least the wind has dropped. now i am feeling 100% better, i want to volunteer for work, but i dont know how if i need to be tested. even though i have suffered symptoms (very very bad) i dont know if two weeks after normal temperatures i will be clear or not. i want to help more than the eldery neighbours and family that i am already doing.

anyway, did anyone see the meteroite shower late night/early hours. i was awke at 2 but just cant get away from light pollution around here to get a decent view of the sky

Another lovely day. The local 'river walk' on the outskirts of Hadleigh was really enjoyable this morning.

Quite some April we're having, with the possibility of it turning into the driest April on record for some areas. Tomorrow (Thurs) looking the best day of this week, with the nagging wind off the North Sea easing off allowing temps to reach a very pleasant 21C for many parts of our Region.

well if this news is anything to go by we may well see a decent summer. although its a double edged sword with decent weather.

no one to pick fruit and veg, and crops will be less in a hot summer, i think we may see an autumn of very low produce and sky high prices. the price of covid19 may well be more than we anticipate

Feels much warmer without that easterly. What a stunning April we're having!  ☀️ I wouldn't be too bothered if it rained for all of May after this month's almost constant dry and sunny weather.

Just a bit of rain from some showers/convection is all I ask as we know we're going to get diddly squat from the Atlantic until October'ish (in this part of the world), it's just amazing how quickly we've gone from constant cloud/rain to wall to wall sunshine and bone dry...all the hallmarks of GW.

Not necessarily this weather is not going to last, rain expected next week and one or two days may be very cool some evidence it may revert back to status quo of late near end of next week.

This April has been truly incredible after a sunny March as well... I don’t think May will top it.

22.5c here in Cambridge, another glorious day.

Out of interest - does anyone know what’s up with the reporting station in Cambridge that displays on WeatherOnline/Netweather? No reports again today, just seems very sporadic at the moment.

Well a beautiful St George’s Day today in Locksbottom and maxed at 21 degrees with clear blue skies and a gentle breeze.Amazing that since about mid March we have had barely a drop of rain when previous 6 months was deluge after deluge!!In these difficult times at least the weather has done its best to lift our spirits???????

Another cracking spring day reached 21.7C as far as I’m concerned this is better than 2011 while it may have been less warm  the sunshine has been outstanding, seems 2007 may be too much of a reach but who knows!

Whoa! What's going on this morning? The sky seems to have turned a horrible grey colour! :oldlaugh:

More seriously, whilst rainfall might be welcomed by gardeners and growers, it's going to be a shame to see the end to the lovely settled, sunny weather after this weekend. According to GFS, some parts of the Region might see 25mm (an inch) of rain by Wednesday. At the mo, Tuesday looking particularly wet.

Oh dear the leaden skies have returned this morning, we do need some rain but not much if any about here at the moment, next week should bring some relief for farmers and gardeners. Temps look like dropping back to near average for a while.

Low cloud took far longer than forecast to break up here. Wasn’t really until midday the sun started to poke through, when it was forecast for around 10am. Not going to be massively warm I reckon.

A pleasant day in Bexhill, with a temperature of around 13c and a light E breeze.

Sorry for the constant barrage of photography recently, it’s one of the things keeping my mind busy! I hope everyone is safe and well.
