Had a few heavy showers today, just rain, but was treated to this:

It was a lovely Sunny day. Cut the grass, did some potting in the greenhouse, now time for a tipple or two. Gone chilly now under clear skies. But we did get up to 10c today 5oF. Good Health to everyone.

Got caught in some passing showers over Lincolnshire travelling home from Hunstanton, they seemed to be a right old mix including some flakes of snow (Though I am a little dubious given the air temperature at the time).

Lovely sunny afternoon a real treat. Had a very marshy walk round Robertsbridge starting from St Johns cross this afternoon. The fields are well and truly saturated, if anyone mutters about a hose pipe ban when we get to June I will be truly lost for words!! A view to Mountfield church and a tree that had fallen across the path and extremely close to the railway line!

Another beautiful morning hopefully this is what most of March will be like with scattered showers.

Yes, some interesting convection and cloudscapes would be good, interspersed with sunshine. There has been over 5 months of near constant cloud, wind and rain, so something else would be nice.

Hopefully this is the sort of thing you are looking for KK. You can alter the date parameters to view any month and year.

That’s perfect, exactly what I was looking for - thanks very much! Not sure how I wasn’t aware of it already...

Oh you can bet once we get to summer and it hasn’t rained in 7 days the tears and cry’s of ‘Sahara britain’ will be in full swing. Happens every year. “We need rain”

 Cringe!!

It was good to see some blue sky and sunshine to herald the start of Meteorological Spring down here in Hastings today.

I'm in awe of those who have already cut the grass or mowed their lawns given how absolutely saturated everything is in this neck of the woods.

Much nicer Day out there Today and looks like being a pretty chilly one Tonight, in S.E.Londinium.

Nearly had an unfortunate accident this Morning.

Thought I'd take the advice of our Prime Minister of singing "Happy Birthday" twice, whilst washing our hands, and apply it to all aspects  of personal hygiene.

I tried singing it three times, whilst cleaning my teeth, and almost choked on my toothbrush!! :shok:

Take care, out there.

Regards,

Tom.  :hi:

Crazy indeed!...I recorded my wettest February (just short of 70mm), so much for the QBO trending into an easterly phase!

It’s the wettest February on record.

Ground is saturated and local farmer is praying for a dry summer speaking with him today. Fingers crossed for a 2020 hot and dry summer.

Had 2 moderate showers this morning. Was outside with hubs sorting stuff and it didn't feel like i need a coat, there was some spring in that sun.

Gone cloudy now.

Almost thunderstorm season.

Funny how nature responds to the weather. In what has been a mild winter it is worth mentioning that in this part of NW Kent temperatures have pretty much been about 7-9 degrees for about 80% of the time with only about 6 or 7 days hitting double figures in the last 3 months and half a dozen days being about 5 or 6 degrees. On the whole the daffodils have been a good couple weeks ahead, magnolia are starting to flower yet Camelias seem to be behind by a week or so.What has been missing is sunshine-is it me or has it been such a dull start to the year?remember by this time last year we had already had a mini heatwave in mid-late Feb where we hit 18 degrees and lovely warm sunshine.I really do crave for Spring now(I was lucky enough to see snow fall for 40 mins last Thursday although it didn’t settle) but I have a horrible feeling this horrible pattern of weather we seem to have been stuck in for the last 5 months has a bit further to go before we can get the bbq’s out!!
