Thanks S.Q.1,

Poor Colette has had to do an early Morning shift, at the Chislehurst Care Home where she works.

But I've told her, under no circumstances is she to stay on and do a double shift, on our Wedding Anniversary.

I don't care if they're short staffed, especially after that insulting £5 Amazon Gift Voucher "Christmas Box", that the Staff were given.(Btw, Colette hasn't received hers yet!!).An en suite Room costs the Resident £1,500 per Week and if the Residents don't have any savings, Bromley Social Services  have to pay BUPA.

So, someone is seeing that money but it certainly isn't the Staff!!:nonono: No doubt the CEO, is doing ok.

I know I'm biased but I happen to think it's a national disgrace, how little importance we attach to caring for the ill and elderley, in this Country.

Right, I'll get off my Soapbox now.

Meanwhile in Weather news, the rain from Dennis is knocking on our door.

Regards,

Tom.   :hi:

I suppose one of the words Colette could say is off. Even though money and duty is not the same.

The worse thing in life for many is your best efforts are ignored.

Hopefully being with you and not working is better than being at work. But we all need a change of scene to keep us sane.

Sorry but I am very annoyed by people being misused.

Once the storm is in the North Sea they probably will.

The Thames Barrier team say the current forecast will not warrant the Thames Barrier to be closed. We shall see!

Been busy all day with grandchildren.  Tom SE I hope Collette made it home ok and you are snug in your house enjoying a good meal and some relaxation.

The wind has picked up here now and the rain is getting heavier.  Not much sleep for me tonight as I dont sleep well with the wind.

Stay safe all.

B****y awful outside in East Sussex.

Might not be backed up by evidence but already feels at least as bad as last week.

Well would you Adam and Eve it, after talking about Francis Wilson on this thread earlier in the week, he only turned up on Celebrity Pointless this evening!

It's rather wet and windy out there, getting to the roaring around the house stage. Don't fancy heavier winds overnight as I find it difficult to sleep through the noise.

Yes it’s really going for it now along the coast a bit in Icklesham, laid both wheelie bins down before they get pushed!

We don’t have wheelie bins here in Uxbridge ( wish we did would stop the foxes ripping open the bin bags ) taking of foxes I hope the wind keeps the foxes out of the garden tonight they seem mighty noisy of late ?

Really dislike foxes. Excrement everywhere and kill hedgehogs I have rehomed.

That band off the coast Cornwall is that going to hit us in south east? Or is it tracking more Midlands?

I feel the same and I don't know why, but I've had a bad feeling about it from the outset....

Yes. Definitely seems stronger than last week! We haven’t had the persistent heavy rain yet, but I assume that will be coming tonight, and tomorrow
