I suppose one advantage of this exceptionally mild weather is no need to have the heating on while working from home this last few days!!

Getting very lively outdoors now. More heavy rain incoming.

My tropical climate idea is gaining real momentum lol! We knew it was always Costa del South but we really are taking on a more tropical climate.. Well until the next cold spell lol!!

Certainly getting more and more windy.. I wonder if somewhere inland will get above 60mph or close to it..

Usually around  Box Hill...

Certainly looks like another very lively squall line could come through at some point in the night!

Batten down those hatches it's gonna be a stormy evening!

MetO got caught off guard with their non weather warnings for the SE yesterday. Seven planes had to be diverted which were scheduled to land at Gatwick Airport due to the gales

Jeeze the winds have seriously picked up here all of a sudden. Just after I was driving home thinking that the forecasters had overhyped the severity of it !!

Currently walking along Bexhill Seafront on my way home from work- Very blowy as you can imagine! Gusts are probably around 50mph at the moment. I took some photos & video early this afternoon.

Southend Seafront is pretty bad here couple of restrung and such closed due to the flooding.  Been a while since I’ve seen it this bad.

The winds sure seems to have gotten angry all of a sudden, hearing a lot of wood, plastic and metal noises outside.

It is the same over here in South Ockendon, the wind is noisy and I have heard a few bangs as though heavy items have fallen down. The winds are blowing a  hooley outside, the rain is lashing down.

Very windy so far but not quite widespread 60mph gusts (..yet!!). Similar to yesterday evening in North London, although the duration is going to be much longer this time!

Several trees down round here already and bins all over the place! When is the peak of the winds expected? It's so noisy!

Oh how I long for snow, or even just still, frosty days! Not looking hopeful but we can dream! Am so fed up with mud and rain, hate my job with winters like this. >sigh<

Insane scenes in Slough. Looks like many people could've been injured/killed if they were hit by that roof. Very lucky!!

Some impressive gusts in the southeast at the moment - even in-land (edit - think that’s the 9pm forecast) either way it’s windy lol
