According to the BBC website (I know) it should be gusting to 45 mph in my location already which really is not the case and by the early evening much calmer, I'm not sure if this is correct?

Worst of the gusts will probably hit further east late morning/early afternoon.

Looks like serious heavy rain for hours on radar as they line up behind, complex low. Not nice but interesting. Be safe.

The wind speed according to the BBC for my area is 41 miles per hour while the Met Office has it at 21 mph with gusts of 36 miles per hour.  According to the wunderground weather the wind speed is 25 miles per hour.  The rain is much heavier than forecasted by the met office. The barometer pressure has lowered again to 976.7 hPa.

Really miserable, a bit windier now but most notable is the squally rain...November has started wonderfully!

Gusty strong winds and heavy rain easing off.
Nothing unusual.

Heavy rain more of feature here than wind.

Very windy here in E Sussex, tried to drive to Heathfield but road blocked by huge Oak tree across the road just past Blackboys. Decided to head home and do some work there. Definitely not a good time to be driving.

Feels like a proper autumn storm today perhaps inland nothing too out of the ordinary - but real big gusts of wind and driving rain , reminds of the Lake District in winter !

Nice clearance coming in from west now here. Time for a later than normal morning dog walk.

The rain has stopped by 11 am and the wind is getting gustier as my living room door rattles.  All the doors in the flat are closed and the only way my living room door can rattle is through the front door.  I have a feeling that one of the main entrance to the flats has been left open, there is another main door which goes down to the back gardens that is frequently left open. My brass barometer is the lowest it ever has been and has gone down to the stormy mark.  The barometer pressure is continuing to fall and now is at 974.8 hpa, while the humidity  level has lowered and is at 74%, much lower than yesterdays 84% humidity.

It’s incredibly rough here on the coast. My garden shed looks like it can’t take much more. Does anyone know if the worst has passed us yet??

Always baffles me how there is this much water in the sky. Been torrentially raining since about 9am. Lots of flooding.

Seen a few posts above from Thurrock saying heavy rain and wind, but I've not had anything significant in my part of Thurrock yet. No heavy rain and no strong gusts. Met office app now saying the worst of it is over.

Confused!

Blue Sky overhead now.
That’s better.

Gusty breeze drying out pavements and roads which is good.

It’s awful here I thought it might of started to calm down but if anything it has intensified which is a shock. It’s so windy and pelting it down with heavy rain. Any recorded gusts on the south coast yet?? I can not understand why this hasn’t been named. It’s some of the roughest weather I’ve seen in a long while.

After the first rain band passed, winds have picked up, but not particularly strong, no need for a warning for our area. Seems the strong winds are staying more southerly than predicted. Suns out now, so hopefully drying up before the next rain arrives later this afternoon.
