I screen grabbed the squall line early this morning.. Very very intense squall line well it was here anyway.. So glad I woke up for it.. The Hail smashing into the windows was crazy and the roaring noise coming from the roof with all the rain and Hail.. Hands down most intense squall I've witnessed here.. Crazy weather

That looks intense! Missed it, unfortunately.

Definitely wouldn’t say no to a bit of frost & fog, but frost seems to be the new snow.

Trying to recall if October used to get decent frosts, but my memory is a bit pants at times. Definitely remember some very chilly frosty and misty Bonfire Nights back in the 80’s.

I can only remember the 'odd' October with a frost towards the end of the month in the last decade, they are certainly becoming a rare thing. Novembers back in the 80's and even 90's had air frosts (not just ground/grass frosts)...I use to practice golf down the local driving range in the late 80's after the season had drawn to a close and quite often in the evening being wrapped up well with a frost developing on the grass whilst hitting balls, don't see that now in these parts (certainly not in the evening).

No thunder that i'm aware, but it had been raining. Cooling wind but not too cold. Gone from sunny to cloudy.

@Snowflake Queen I've got some fur lined boots I wear when the weather hits freezing, so i guess that'll count as frost boots? ?‍♀️

It just absolutely tipped it down, with small hail thrown in at one stage; I’d say it briefly touched upon Incredible on my scale, but was torrential for the most part.

Woken up at 3.30am by the sound of the wind and rain hammering against the window here in St Leonards on Sea. It didn't last long but must have been quite something to wake me up.

Another torrential shower just passing now as I type.

My memory is not all it should be these days but I do keep records as best I can and I take the readings from the nearby Herstmonceux Weathercast site.

I distinctly recall cutting my grass on September 21st, having looked at the forecast and thinking it might be the last chance I get for a while. It was a perfect day with the temperature reaching 23.9 locally under clear blue skies.

The turnaround from that day has been quite remarkable in this neck of the woods. In the last 28 days just one day without rainfall and a total so far during that period of 158mm's .....over 6 inches which is quite unusual here in East Sussex though I stand to be corrected.

In the scheme of a mild winter, I de-iced the freezer today.

sunny and some cloud. Alexa says 'some sun and thunderstorms' Alexa is wrong. Don't be like alexa.

After watching the the Parliament channel for half an hour I  felt like banding my head against Brick wall so instead went for a walk around Esher Common

the fungi were sublime but felt slightly challenged by the mushroom pickers which were out in force romping through the forest floor collecting everything edible in sight ... I guess it’s good that they are used but wonder about the effects on the precious ecosystem  - Esher Common is a sight of special scientific interest

there was also a circus skill group which had set up a tight rope across a path who were practicing there skills which was a bit bizarre !!

what a day !!

Yep! Fungi about all over the place in my garden due to the wet conditions, most of them now are in my garden waste (not sure if they were edible).

Ajhhhhh hahaha ha!!!! That lightning was nutty!!! The rain is absolutely insane!!!! Like tropical... Car alarms going off!! Like an intense summer storm

Much the same here.  Several C-C strikes, horizontal rain and hail for around 4 minutes, then moderate rain for another 3 or so minutes.
