Space Station will be going over Dorian shortly. Pity the stream is not great quality - Change the Quality setting to 1080p

Strong cat four now at 155mph ?

But quite a lot larger now that the ERC has finished.  Means it won't have to get as close to the Florida coast to cause major damage

Not good news for Florida then

So it could still strengthen further

The updated ICON has a very similar track to its earlier output. The 12z GFS up to 48 hours has shifted Dorian a bit to the east.

Not much though and looks very very slow moving over the next 18 - 24 hours. Hardly shifts from The Bahamas at all.

Even a slight shift can make a difference.

I agree about the Bahamas though! I dread the news from the island over the coming days

A distress call in GB reads: I know nobody could move in Freeport but please if yall could get a boat or somethiing to churchill drive we will appreciate it. My brother, his girl and their two small boys are stuck in the roof of their home and the water resching the ceiling.

What is the closest point to Florida it's going to hit and are there any webcams there. Found some from the Fort Lauderdale area but not much happening.

There will only be rain bands, no real action until tomorrow.

Stunning!

@Lauren Reed has been posting recently - not sure if there are any webcams around these areas.

Slowly weaking with every update

The main models don't seem to be interested in any serious weakening until later in the week.

Still a horrible forecasting scenario for Florida. In some parts of the coast, 30 miles difference in location makes 30 mph difference in wind. Not a probability situation you'd want.
