Wasn’t that monster at night too? Could not imagine how terrifying the roar must’ve sounded.

Yh struck at 950pm on the 4th May 2007. The warning time was 32 minutes though which was unprecedented and the 13 that died mostly ranged between 60-80 years old and were not on Social Media etc.

It seems to me that the margin for error in the forecast track for Florida equates to around a delay of 6 hours in Dorian starting its turn north... If the weather gods played Russian roulette....

The US in general looks very lucky, Dorian looks like passing close to many states in the east coast but no landfall.

Absolutely could be a lot worse for the states but mind you it's not over till it's over ...

Try telling that to those in the Bahamas.... or those having to forecast this storm.

Just because there is the odd fake youtube video is no reason to make a sweeping statement like this.

Was a joke, calm down.

Latest NHC update out, winds 185 MPH, hasn't weakened and expected to remain at that strength for next 12 hours and moving at 5 MPH, not good for the Bahamas.

Surely after spending the past while battering the Bahamas he must have lost some intensity, not a lot but some and what depth of heat is in the surrounding water to reintensify to his current level? X

Probably a silly question but why has he not weakened at all now hes interacted with land

I’d say it’s due to the fact that the Bahamas are very low, not much above 30ft ASL so there’s not much around to really disrupt it.
