Heavy showers during late Friday afternoon and evening have cleared away north to leave it dry and cloudy and increasingly windy

18°C in Brighton, muggy at 00:40. A few showers have passed over with nothing much falling. Was relatively clear with a decent view of the moon when I went out at 23:00 but I suspect that's changed with recent showers passing over.

A heavy shower around 6am quickly moved through with dry and cloudy conditions since with a moderate south-westerly gusting to around 25mph

Variable cloud producing a few showers overnight. mainly cloudy this morning, a little intermittent drizzle here, showers in the vicinity, windy. Moderate showery rain around the area through the morning and in to early afternoon, though this station only caught further light drizzle. Sunny spells developed mid afternoon, though very windy for early August.

Turning cloudy overnight, moderate rain setting in around midnight, continuing throughout the early hours and at first this morning.. Windy. Turning brighter around 08:00 GMT, warm sunny spells at observation, showers in the vicinity. Sunny spells through the morning, scattered showers around. The afternoon more in the way of showers, these were heavy and blustery and accompanied by thunder. Further sunny spells early evening, also light to moderate showers.
