Looks like round 3 coming in from the south. Surely this one can't skirt to the east as well!? 20190804_194558.thumb.jpg.a153d38b99d5cc75036a5d6bc8107b58.jpg

Picking up quite a lot for the North now and now here it's got even darker with that cell to my south

Lots of thunder from a cell here earlier this afternoon, only two flashes seen of sheet lightning though, most of the lightning was intracloud and not directly overhead , but a very loud cannon shell  sound must have been a fairly close CG strike, could have been a positive strike jumping clear of the main thunder cloud

Absolutely bounced it down here, one biggish flash observed. Just rang me mum in Bolsover (5 mile away) and nothing there although the might get a bit before it all clears in the next 15 minutes or so

So much lightning from this storm, the core of the rain seems to have passed about half a mile west after the earlier miss to the east but I'm calling this a successful day, much better than expected and it seems the storms are far more widespread within the warning area than we were led to believe (with some exceptions of course!)

Not sure what it is but storms here always seems to like to be at the east of Lincoln rather than the West

A big storm about 6 miles south of me formed out of nowhere we are on the very edge and it is going to miss here I wondered why I could here thunder again.

It looks like the convergence has occured just a little bit too far east for me to benefit. Some really dark clouds and towers from time to time but no precipitation.
