Inland regions definitely at risk of catching some heavy downpours with the odd rumble of thunder tonight.

Lightning looks minimal away from coastal counties, with the exception of the far SE.

In my opinion most models underestimate the inland shower thunderstorm potential we'll wait and see. Indeed only a couple showed the heavy showery rain this morning for London and surrounding areas. It's okay to put this in the chat thread if it fits better there.

Lots of beefy showers incoming here but apart from the odd dramatic sky/torrential downpour...no thunder/lightning as yet. (Gourock, Scotland)

Heavy, convective rain here. Could have sworn there was a loud crack of thunder about 10 mins ago but my headphones on at the time (Bexley area). Nothing on blitzortung though.

Wonder how much more rain Mother Nature has in store for us?

Funny enough Harry, I thought I saw a flash of lightning.  Paused the TV waiting for a rumble, didn't hear a thing!  Maybe you could hear the thunder and I can see the lightning

I heard that in Welling. Quite a prolonged rolling rumble accompanied by torrential rain.

Just seen a flash of lightning here in Christchurch, popped outside and my god it's windy! And cold

Looks to be passing to the north east of where I am.

On a break in New Forest and just heard two deep rumbles to our SW - around Wimborne Minster showing a few strikes on lightning maps. Just wondering weather to go for a drive to see if we can catch a strike or two from a vantage point: or just stay in and eat chocolate truffles
