This looks interesting.

This is the (or a) occluded front. Whether it’s something expected is beyond me, and equally no idea whether to expect it to electrify but it’s not out of the question

Only in kent really

Must be in very specified parts then as all i've had is a few flashes of lightning, one bit of thunder and the rest is heavy rain, there's been no wind whatsoever

Oh my god - just had the loudest, most instant crack of thunder from any storm we've had this year. I think I almost soiled myself.

I swear mother nature is deliberately doing this to us, it's like she is telling the storms "watch out you're entering England territory, Divert at once!" and any sort of activity that doesn't move out the way get neefed for not listening to mother nature's warning.

That was a loud one wasn’t it! The cat nearly jumped out her fur

12.9mm of rain so far...8.9mm of that has fallen in the last hour

Hey, if anyone lives around me, can you please look out to the east of your location for about 1 minute? There are frequent flashes of lights to the east. It's definitely not just me, I told my brother and father to look out there if they can see lights, in which they said they can. Very odd.

Sorry, I meant near me. It probably is something going on over there. It's really weird.

Could be the tops of some cells in the far distance. Depends on your cloud coverage. Might be car headlights heading over a ridge exacerbated by the fog. Could be an outdoor event - mist can make light travel a long way.

It's probably an outdoor event unfortunately - but either way, it looks incredible. I have got incredibly sensitive eyes though which helps me see these. I'm gonna check if these lights are still there after I've had a shower.

I genuinely have no reason to complain, considering I have had a total of 11 Thunderstorms this year...
