Looks like Lincoln is going to get some good lightning imminently. Seems like we have a little low pressure system forming judging by the precipitation radar?

Maybe we will catch those same storms later... in the meantime still a lot of flashes to the distant east. Seems to be more towards Preston and Withernsea though.

A warm welcome to Netweather jlp.

Well we are just seeing this cell move off toward Lincoln and the wolds, the weird thing is it is still very muggy and humid, sticky call it what you like however no indication of cells from the source south of me.

Centre of one storm slightly west of here, close flash and crack within seconds, no rain at the moment. The rest have passed east or west of here as the radar shows.

Can't believe that yet again not so much as a sniff at some rain, never mind a storm. It's as bad as 2018 in terms of below average rainfall, August is traditionally a wet summer month in this part of the country.

Thanks, been meaning to get an account for a while but this storm seems a good an excuse as any!

No cg lightning yet but constant flashes every few secondsml. MCS over lincoln?

Started here as CG but in the main was mostly CC and yes I think east Lincoln is the sweet spot.

I’m probably 25 miles Sw of the storms over Lincoln way but I can see some pretty frequent lightning high up in the clouds.A nice little surprise!.

Football abandoned at Grimsby due to torrential rain and T+L

I live behind the ground and I can see why it's off as the rain is biblical. Feel sorry for some Macclesfield fans though as their bus broke down on the way and they only got here about 25 mins ago.

Cheers Glenn

Looks like some good storms going on. Enjoy! That video from dapick2002 seems to show a well electrified storm. Thanks for the video.

Dry, boring, here in Reigate. Met Office Yellow Weather warning out for Surrey for Severe Drizzle. Time to take cover I guess...

Surprise surprise that huge gap is heading this way. I bet those to the south of it fizzle out before they arrive!
