Loud deep booming thunder and some sporadic lightning in Washington now almost constant thunder though

St neots station- constant distant thunder, sun coming out, rainbow, floods, missed another epic then. Yay. Least I caught the tail!

Just had a deep rumble from this cell which has rapidly developed

That’s the cell we took pics of that to my west, it has tracked across to Coningsby and plenty of noise to be heard but alas I think it will skirt to my north.

Finally a consolation goal at Sandy - stunning CG!!

Can see it from here mate - are you getting hail? I can see a huge shaft of hail about 5 miles wide in that storm.

In Newark and watching storms pass by on radar to both sides of town. Not had anything though, not even a distant rumble from the new cell popping up to the east. Loads of time left yet though.

That cell is a beast on the north east coast. It's just to the east of me and it's constant thunder no breaks at all sounds amazing.

Honestly the thunder sound is proper weird too must be horrendous directly under it as it's constant there's no let up.

Get some footage of you can mate it looks a beast on the radar. I can hear the thing from here in Washington. On its current course it will be a direct hit if it doesn't disintegrate.

Couldn't keep up with it

Road conditions were a little dicey but not too bad.

Best I saw was a few flashes on the way.

Maybe next time.. which probably won't be for a long time I suspect!

At least you tried. Sunderland / Peterlee areas must have taken a hammering I can still hear the constant thunder

Feels a lot hotter now than it did earlier . The cell a few miles East to me looks pretty good. Wish I could drive as I would have chased it

Reports of hail setting car alarms off just up the road in Consett when the storm first hit and can't say i'm surprised.

So skies are brightening again. Looks like that's it unless any more cells form from now? Not sure what the forecast is for the rest of the night.
