So the north east could be the place to be it seems however I'm not getting excited until I see developments on the radar this afternoon. I've lost most of my hair this summer already with radar stress lol

Anyone chasing today? I'm thinking of heading up towards the wash and lincolnshire.

I would like to but currently dont have a car. Will be walking to a hill shortly that overlooks Bedford and gives a good view towards Milton Keynes. I expect you could do well towards the wash later, Good luck!

Backs up what the Met Office think regarding them being scattered and hence the warning impact matrix being very low.

Some big towering clouds building over the Chilterns and also the opposite direction towards Milton Keynes.

Yep north is the best place to be today I think, lets see how things pan out later in the afternoon.

Reading between the lines I don’t see too much mention about the lightning severity. Making me wonder if these are going to be heavy thunder showers as opposed to a proper event. Either way it’s too far north again, so another wasted chance for our storm starved area, and possibly one of the last chances this year

Where are the storms in the east? Were they supposed to develop earlier or later?

I believe they will begin to fire off in the next couple of hours?

We will just have to wait and see what happens at this point. I suspect they will form rather suddenly somewhere or another in the next 2 hours..

Something is exploding to my west, probably the cell over Banbury.

Edit: Whoops, turns out it was just a small cumulus cloud.

Well some showers on the radar and one lonely strike some time back. Some weak convection here but no tower building at the moment looking east.
