Liverpool TAF not interested in anything thundery tomorrow either with the cold front or post front. It might actually happen then.

After a day of net curtain twitching, it's finally happened, good few cracks of thunder, didn't see any lightning though. Looks as though it's heading west of Manchester.

Can hear it approaching, constant rumbling. Should be a good one if it maintains

Annoys me how the proper intense thunderstorms go through eastern/central cumbria and misses me everytime.

Another storm just passed to the East of here. Chucking it down over east Hull yet here next to Cottingham it was pretty much dry! Some more grumbles of thunder but storm has now gone north.

That was impressive! Constant thunder and lightning, all elevated though. Torential rain with hail and crazy downdrafts. Dropped 20mm in no time, approaching 50mm since midnight now.

Towel has been well and truly thrown in here for the last hour or 2. Had a few heavy showers but no lightning made it across the dee. Never mind, Monday/Tuesday is my next chance.

Had this one rumbling away on my way to the gym. I've had thunder from 6 cells today. Been a good few weeks... Supercell on 25th July and numerous days since with rather active lightning storms!

I'm north of Leeds currently and right in the heaviest echoes, torrential rain and lightning though nothing out of the ordinary.

The big thing now in Yorkshire was awesome earlier. Driving through Stoke the underpasses were quickly filling up and when I got to Junction 16 it was as though the fire brigade were hosing the windscreen. I have never seen rain that heavy in this country. Accessing the motorway slipway was a challenge through a foot deep lake running off the M6.

Annoys me how they only start as a whimper overhead here and only intensify after they've passed

I've now uploaded the 25th July storm in Florida.

Some close strikes are also visible in this video.
