Looks like another storm is missing me.

It might not be directly overhead but you could see some lightning in the distance. It depends what part of Bedford you live in.

A glancing blow from a thundery shower brief intense rainfall of nearly 160mm per hour so those that get a direct hit expect flooding.

We must have matched the days of thunder for the last five years now. I think we've had five days now perhaps six. Sheffield shield in need of repair long may that be the case

I was just wondering how many thunder days we've had this year, definitely higher than usual! I think six, too

As you say a thundery shower scraped by recently. We missed the worst of the rain here.

I'm just outside basically the MK side.

Ohhh. I'm northeast of Bedford so it's not coming directly overhead me but it's viewable from a good distance.

This storm is kicking off a bit on lightning maps. A few miles east dammit!

Quite the storm heading up from the North Wales border towards Manchester, hoping for a direct hit!

I've just moved here and have a lovely view of the trams from a fifth floor apartment, might try a timelapse.

Had a little storm pass through here in Hull giving a few rumbles. Better then nothing!  Wouldn't be surprised if a few more heavy showers pack in behind over Lincolnshre. Best storms seem to be those approaching Stoke and another passing the Chilterns and the north of London.

I thought the storm would be in a good viewing perspective but another rain curtain was blocking the main storm. So I didn't see any lightning but got a few rumbles.

An ex storm is heading towards us now. Here we don't get storms unless they from the west or northwest.. Its all about orographic uplift for the storms over Wales at current. Here heavy rain due but lightning or thunder unlikely

Inclined to agree, the fantastic storm we had in the early hours of 24th July, was a gift from Wrexham.

Unrelated but same across much of south London and large parts of SE England national grid fault apparently very usual for so long, traffic lights and all chaos...
