A few cracks of lightning close to here just now and the sky's black to my S/E with a few spots of rain starting.

Looks like this beastie has just started to get electrified! As I’ve just had a good rumble of thunder from it. ?️:clapping:

A glancing blow from a thundery shower brief intense rainfall of nearly 160mm per hour so those that get a direct hit expect flooding.

We must have matched the days of thunder for the last five years now. I think we've had five days now perhaps six. Sheffield shield in need of repair long may that be the case

An ex storm is heading towards us now. Here we don't get storms unless they from the west or northwest.. Its all about orographic uplift for the storms over Wales at current. Here heavy rain due but lightning or thunder unlikely

We’re at risk of some gusts of wind. It’s literally like the weather capital of the world here - great if you like peace and quiet mixed in with your non-convective showers

Started here with a few rumbles of thunder and steady light rain. The heavy stuff is behind, but, I can't tell how far.

I think the Telford storm shield is overpowered this year and is pushing everything Shrewsbury way!
